A big thank you to KONE for the opportunity to attend and engage with the wider logistics and transportation community. While the sessions on AI, sustainability, freight audit and digital innovation provided plenty of food for thought, the biggest value also came from the conversations in between : reconnecting with long-standing contacts, meeting new suppliers, exchanging ideas with industry peers and expanding my professional network. Events like these are a great reminder that while technology continues to transform logistics, strong partnerships and collaboration remain at the heart of progress. Diana Klott liked thisDiana Klott liked thisWant to be successful online? Get over these 3 things. None of them have anything to do with how good your content is. 1. Caring what people think. Not strangers. It’s always the people closest to you. Your friends back home who knew you before any of this. The person you haven’t spoken to in five years but you know still watches everything you post. The people in your industry who knew you before you started putting yourself out there and are probably thinking, “Since when are they an expert?” It’s not really strangers we’re worried about judging us. It’s the people who already have a version of us in their head. 2. Selling yourself. For some reason, we’re uncomfortable admitting that we’re selling ourselves. But if you want people to know your name, understand what you do and believe you’re good at it, you have to. Your ideas. Your expertise. Your point of view. You can’t want a bigger name and then feel embarrassed about promoting it. 3. Looking like you’re trying. There’s something weirdly uncomfortable about people knowing you’re trying. Posting when you don’t have a big audience yet. Talking about what you do when you’re not sure anyone cares. Putting yourself out there before you know whether any of it is going to work. But there’s nothing wrong with looking like you’re trying. At some point, you have to decide what matters more: what people think, or what you’re trying to build.

Atallah brings more than three decades of international real estate experience, including leadership roles at Al-Futtaim Real Estate, Nakheel, Dubai Properties, Piramal Realty, Qatari Diar, Emaar and Solidere. His appointment places him at the helm of a portfolio expected to deliver more than 400,000 homes across Saudi Arabia. ROSHN was established by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund in 2020 and plays a key role in supporting Vision 2030’s target of increasing homeownership among Saudi citizens to 70%. The group’s development portfolio includes SEDRA and WAREFA in Riyadh, ALAROUS and MARAFY in Jeddah, and ALFULWA in the Eastern Province. Atallah’s arrival comes as ROSHN continues to move forward with large-scale residential and mixed-use communities designed around housing, public spaces, retail, education, infrastructure and community amenities.
