For brands navigating the future of sports culture, the challenge is no longer simply reaching fans. It’s earning a place within the ritual. In our latest conversation with Mike Lisjak of ORBIS Production, we explored how fandom has evolved from passive viewership into participation, identity, and community. Lisjak shares why the most effective sports marketing strategies are shifting from campaign bursts to ecosystem building, how athlete partnerships must move beyond “borrowed fame,” and why authentic engagement is measured by advocacy, behavior, and belonging. Today marks a defining milestone for ORBIS Production. We have been named the world’s fastest-growing production company in 2026 after ranking No. 1 overall on the 2026 Clutch 100. For us, this is more than a ranking. It is a signal of where premium production is heading: toward fewer, stronger partners that can combine creative ambition, operational control, and international execution at scale. Founded in Milan in 2009, ORBIS has spent more than 15 years building a global production and production-services platform for brands, agencies, broadcasters and enterprise clients that cannot afford compromise. We are grateful to our clients, collaborators, crews, producers and partners around the world who have trusted us with complex work and bold ideas. This milestone matters. But we are even more focused on what comes next.

A strong campaign film often looks effortless because the hardest decisions were made early. Heineken Fusion was an especially interesting brief for that reason. The HEINEKEN Company positions Fusion as born for aperitivo, with natural juniper and citrus notes, designed for a fresher, more refined occasion. That meant the production challenge was not simply to make the product look beautiful. It was to build a believable social world around it. The answer was never going to be a generic “Italian summer” moodboard. It had to feel more precise than that: a café terrace in the centre of Desenzano del Garda, where late light, public life, greenery, stone and water could give the film a lived-in sense of place. For brand and agency teams, location is not just background in a campaign like this. It sets the cultural logic of the piece. It tells the viewer how to read the product before the product is fully explained. From there, every department had to protect the same idea. Beer styling had to stay exact: branded glass orientation, clean foam head, no ice, citrus garnish, table context that felt authentically aperitivo rather than over-styled. Talent direction had to remain natural and socially intelligent. Camera movement needed elegance without overstatement. The team had to maintain continuity across motion, stills and multiple output formats while working inside a living environment that kept changing with light, reflections, foot traffic and timing. This is where creative production becomes more than service execution. Agency vision, brand DNA, location strategy, art direction, commercial filmmaking, production design, scheduling and contingency planning all have to operate as one system. When that system is built properly, the final film feels light, atmospheric and unforced - which is exactly the point. That is also what many global brands and international agencies increasingly need from a production partner in Italy: not just logistics, but the ability to translate strategy into image, process into calm, and complexity into clarity. Global production rarely breaks in the big moments. It breaks in the handoffs. Between creative and logistics. Between agency and local crew. Between what the treatment promises and what the location, permits, access, weather, schedule, and budget will actually allow. That is why the best production partner is not the loudest one. It is the one that removes friction before anyone feels it. For brands, agencies, and studios, speed only matters when the answer is usable. A fast yes that ignores market realities is not support. It just pushes risk further down the chain. Useful production service looks different: • real location intelligence before the scout • honest timelines before calendars lock • crew, gear, permits, and access aligned early • approvals kept clear as stakeholders multiply • communication that stays calm when the brief shifts Across Europe, the UK, the US, the Middle East, and APAC, one thing stays true: the standard must be consistent, but the execution cannot be generic. Milan is not London. London is not Tokyo. Every market moves differently. Every market has its own pace, rules, working culture, and pressure points. The craft is knowing where to adapt without diluting the brand. That is the difference between a vendor and a creative production partner. One reacts to the brief. The other protects it. Commercials, branded content, automotive production, fashion shoots, executive interviews, live shoots, and multi-market campaigns all ask for the same thing: keep the idea intact, keep the workflow clean, and make the process easier for everyone involved. That is what decision-makers remember. Not only how the work looked, but how the work moved. Always a good sign when a shoot travels beyond the set and into the local press. This week in Sesto San Giovanni, just outside Milan, Zlatan Ibrahimović appeared in a FOX Sports campaign ahead of the 2026 World Cup, with production by ORBIS Production. Nice to see the story pick up not just the star power, but the production side too. https://lnkd.in/eUeZMenN

“When you’re shooting inside a live office, the goal is simple: do world‑class work without interrupting the world around you.” Mike Lisjak (@mikelisjak), Global Executive Producer at ORBIS Production (@orbispro), tells us about their recent campaign for @standardbanksa & @celonis. “Using real-world locations without the luxury of a recce encouraged us to supplement the natural light while being respectful to the office environment,” adds #cinematographer Edmund Curtis (@edmundcurtiscine). “Soft motivated lighting and consistent lensing gave us the most flexibility in capturing natural moments on set.” ORBIS continues, “It was a fast‑turn shoot for a global enterprise client, captured in real working spaces. The brief was to stay invisible: keep the footprint light, protect the environment, and still deliver images with intention and depth. That ‘respectful’ approach became our north star: work with the architecture and practicals already there, shape what the location gives you, and move fast enough that performance stays fresh. Less intervention, more intention. On schedules like this, the right partners don’t just supply gear – they protect the creative, the crew, and the client’s day‑to‑day. ORBIS operates as a global production service partner across EMEA, the UK, the US and APAC, building local crews and workflows that let agencies and brands stay focused on story, not logistics. Huge thanks to the #Panavision Johannesburg team for the on‑ground support that kept the package nimble and the look consistent across every setup.”

“Production is no longer the last step of creativity. It is the system that allows creativity to exist.” That is one of the key ideas shared by Elena Lusardi, Head of Production at ORBIS Production, in a new interview with Engage | Il magazine del marketing e della pubblicità. And it reflects a profound shift happening across the global content industry. For years, production was treated as the execution phase — the final step after strategy and creativity. Today, the opposite is increasingly true. The scale and complexity of modern campaigns mean that production has become the operating architecture behind creativity itself. A global campaign no longer produces one film. It produces an entire content ecosystem: • hero films • vertical social formats • still photography • BTS and PR assets • live capture and near-live edits • retail content • multi-market adaptations And all of it must be delivered faster than ever, across platforms, markets and territories. Which means production must now begin much earlier — at the stage of feasibility, risk mapping, scheduling, logistics, budgeting and delivery systems. As Elena explains in the interview: “Premium production today is not about adding complexity on set. It is about absorbing complexity beforehand so that the set can remain focused on creativity.” This becomes particularly evident in a country like Italy. Italy is not a single production machine. It is a mosaic of production environments — Milan, Rome, Venice, Tuscany, Lake Como, the Dolomites, Sardinia, Sicily — each with different operational realities, permits, institutions and logistics. For international brands, the real challenge is therefore not simply accessing iconic locations. It is building a production framework capable of governing complexity across territories while maintaining the same operational standard everywhere. Or as Mike Lisjak, Global Executive Producer at ORBIS Production, recently summarized: “If you don’t schedule risk, it schedules you.” In the end, this is where the definition of premium production is changing. Not bigger sets. Not more complexity. But systems that make complexity invisible. The conversation also touches on projects involving global brands such as: Samsung Electronics CNN The HEINEKEN Company Monster Energy Scuderia Ferrari HP Verizon Stellantis Across industries — from fashion & beauty to automotive storytelling, branded content, sport and live productions — one thing is becoming clear: The companies that will lead the next decade of production will not simply execute ideas. They will design the systems that allow those ideas to happen. We’re grateful to Engage Magazine for the thoughtful conversation. Full interview: https://lnkd.in/d5CCZKxk
