Emirates has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Medical Tourism Association (MTA), the world's leading non-profit body for the sector. The partnership sees the airline moving into one of the fastest-growing verticals in international travel. Emirates will become the MTA’s preferred airline for international medical and wellness travellers, and the partnership will map corridors where demand is strongest across Africa, Asia and the Middle East, helping build products around what patients, referring physicians, insurers and employers require. Emirates and MTA will also engage providers accredited by Global Healthcare Accreditation, supporting the airline's ambition to become the first GHA-accredited carrier in the world.
