Keycloak has evolved over the years, and is challenging to balance simplicity, functional completeness and security by default.
At KeyConf26, the Keycloak community conference, on 8 October 2026 in Prague, this interactive group exercise with users, maintainers and contributors identified different problems users struggle with Keycloak today. As a group, we generated solution ideas on how Keycloak can improve and prioritize them, so they can make their way in the Keycloak product roadmap.
