API : substring match in attributes when searching for groups #45000

Hello,

With the API, I'm trying to search for groups based on an attributes value. It's working with exact match, but not with substrings. The general API seems to says that matching with the "exact=false" option and without quoting the value should result in a substring match, but it seems to not be the case here.

Here is an example :

# group extract
{
    "name": "MyGroup",
    [...]
    "attributes": {
        "project": [
            "synchro3"
        ],
        [...]
    },
    [...]
}

This request return the group:
https://my.keycloak.fr/admin/realms/my_realm/groups?q=project:synchro3&exact=false&briefRepresentation=false

But not this one :
https://my.keycloak.fr/admin/realms/my_realm/groups?q=project:synchro&exact=false&briefRepresentation=false

Is it intended or not ? Or dit I miss something else ?

This feature would be interesting for me. Is it worth opening an issue for it
