@bdillahu, I believe this is the answer here. There is a call to Could you please check if removing Auto-root type functionality was one of the first things I added when started my Neovim journey and I can not imagine using Neovim without it. In particular, because it makes it very ergonomic working with files from different projects. |

MiniMisc.setup_auto_root()is responsible i think. So, removing it should restore the default behavior.
