Jan-Hendrik de Vaal ha consigliato questo elemento(Not an AI slop 💩 post, sharing my own insights 🧠) Recently I decided to deep-dive into the back-end development, specifically Node.js. That decision was led by researching various programming languages: C#, Python, C++, Rust. What I realized was that: 1️⃣ Runtime features and platform support matter more than syntactic sugar and learning curve 2️⃣ Mature open source communities are usually more beneficial than robust standard library (take PHP for example, horribly inconsistent standard functions but crazy amount of libraries) For example, one might choose Node.js over Golang for the vast amount of NPM packages available at the snap of a finger. But Golang has a better concurrency support and a garbage collector (which also are runtime features, not just language tools). And if companies need statically typed language packed with features, a huge third party ecosystem and officially supported frameworks (.NET), they often choose C#.

What I care about most in a framework is whether it stays out of the way while still giving me the essentials. Laravel hits that balance well. Even years ago it was the first framework I came across that I genuinely enjoyed using. It keeps internal dashboards and workflow systems straightforward without forcing a heavy architecture, and once a project grows, that balance really starts to matter.
