Yes. With the winner cooldown on, anyone who won a giveaway in your Discord server within the last 1 to 365 days is excluded from winner selection, so the same member cannot win twice inside the window you set. They can still enter, the rule is listed in the web entry page's key terms, and rerolls apply it too.
Winner Cooldowns
Stop the Same Members Winning Every Giveaway
Pick a window in days, or a number of giveaways. Anyone who won a giveaway in your Discord server inside that window is passed over at the draw. Everyone still enters, and the rule is spelled out in the entry terms. The cooldown lifts on its own when the window runs out.
A winner cooldown is a rule you set when you build a ScopliDrop giveaway. Anyone who won a giveaway in your Discord server within the window you choose is passed over when winners are drawn. Measure the window in days, from 1 to 365, or in giveaways, so a member who won sits out the next 3 draws however far apart they run. The bot tracks who won and when on its own.
Entry stays open to everyone, on every entry mode. A member on cooldown completes the tasks and joins like anyone else. On the giveaway's web entry page, the cooldown is listed among the key terms, so entrants there can check the rule before they start. The exclusion happens once, at the draw.
Every win in your server counts toward the window, including wins from giveaways that never had a cooldown set. Rerolls draw from the same filtered pool, so a replacement winner is held to the rule too. Unlike a manual exclusion, it expires on its own. The day the window runs out, the member is back in the draw.
How It Works
From one toggle in the builder to a draw that skips recent winners
- 1
Switch it on and pick the window
The winner cooldown lives in the builder's winners section. It is one toggle, a number, and a unit: days, anywhere from 1 to 365, or giveaways, from 1 to 100, for servers whose schedule is too irregular for a calendar window. The builder suggests 60 days when you switch it on. The window is set per giveaway, so a weekly drop and a rare high-value prize can run different windows.
Set it once and it travels. Giveaway templates store the cooldown with the rest of your setup. The server quickstart carries it into giveaways launched straight from Discord, so a moderator building this week's drop inherits the rule without thinking about it.
- 2
Members enter as usual, with the rule in the entry terms
A cooldown leaves the door open. A member who won last week completes the tasks and enters, whichever entry mode the giveaway runs.
On the giveaway's web entry page, the cooldown sits in the key terms with the exact number of days. A past winner entering there can check where they stand, and everyone else can see the wins are being spread on purpose.
- 3
The draw passes over recent winners
When the giveaway ends, the bot checks every entrant against your server's winner history. Anyone who won a giveaway there within the window is set aside, and the winners are drawn from everyone else. Every win counts, including wins from giveaways that never set a cooldown of their own.
The rule follows the prize to the end. A manual reroll draws from the same filtered pool, and if a winner never claims, the automatic claim-ticket reroll replaces them under the same rule. The day the window runs out, that member is in the next draw like everyone else.
Setups This Enables
The same window, four ways to spread the wins
A rotation for weekly drops
Run a 30-day window on a weekly giveaway and one member can win at most once a month. The prize cycles through four different names before anyone gets a second shot.
A long window for big prizes
Put 90 days or more on Nitro, cash, or rare items. Whoever takes a big prize sits the next season out, so your most-wanted drops land with a new member each season.
More first-time winners for your marketing
For a business, a giveaway is marketing, and the cooldown decides how many people it reaches. Each prize lands in new hands, so more different people get their first win from you, trust the brand that delivered it, and have a reason to try your product.
A bidding cooldown for your auction house
Auctions carry their own version of the rule. A member who won an auction within the window is held out of bidding, instant buy included. In a coin economy, that spreads the lots across more of your bidders.
A Prize That Moves Around Keeps the Whole Server Entering
Repeat winners are how giveaways stop working
When the same two names win month after month, everyone else does the math. Entering starts to feel like donating engagement to someone else's luck, and the members you most wanted to reach quietly stop showing up. The giveaway still runs, but it only excites the people who already won.
A cooldown spreads the wins without anyone keeping score. The bot remembers every winner and how long ago they won, applies the window you chose, and lets it lapse the moment it should. The bot is the one keeping the past-winners list, so the rule holds from one draw to the next on its own.
It also keeps the exclusion fair in a way members can check. The rule is listed with the giveaway's key terms on its entry page, it applies to every entrant equally, and winning is the only way onto the list. A past winner can read the rule, count from the day they won, and know when they are back in.
