Updates

  • Startup Boston Week’s crawl through Downtown Crossing stopped at Klaviyo HQ last week, and we were more than happy to open our doors and let the innovation in. Waves of founders, operators, and curious builders came through the office over the course of the night for food, drinks, and a look at what we're building. We also set up a "builder board" and asked attendees to post their responses to a few prompts: what are you building right now, what problem are you obsessed with solving, or what's one thing you learned this week that stuck with you. By the time the last wave rolled through, more than 150 people had visited our space, and the board was covered. The night felt like a working snapshot of the Boston startup scene, and we’re glad we got a front row seat.

  • We asked Klaviyos to sum up working here in just one word. Electric. Ambitious. Exciting. Impactful. Momentum. Accelerated. Transforming. Connected. Collaborative. Fast, fast, & fast. Different words, but the same theme: people here are building things quickly, and they can see the impact they and their teams make, every day. Sound like your kind of pace? Before Gwyneth Paltrow took the stage at K:BOS, before the CorePower Yoga session, and before 50+ sponsor booths opened their doors, there was months of work for Klaviyos across the business, all building toward one week. Event, product, marketing, ops, and comms teams, pulling together to get the event into existence, for the 2,000+ people who showed up to talk about what's next for consumer brands. We love the recap and all the incredible moments from the week. This post is for the people who built it. Thank you to each and every Klaviyo that contributed. #LifeAtKlaviyo #BuiltDifferent

What does the future of consumer brands look like? 2,000 of the world's best marketers just got together to shape it. At K:BOS 2026, we heard from Gwyneth Paltrow and Christina Tosi, learned from brands like Patagonia, Unilever Prestige, and CorePower Yoga how they're actually building relationships with their customers, and brought executives together with Accenture Song to unpack what the shift to agentic commerce means for brands. Plus 50+ sponsors joined us on the floor for real conversations and hands-on demos. We launched a few things ourselves: going headless, a new personalization layer, and agent upgrades—all built to help brands deliver better experiences for their customers. Thanks to everyone who joined us to learn, meet, and build.

  • For four weeks, Klaviyos around the world added step counts on top of their sprint reviews. The Healthy Together Challenge (sponsored by one of our benefit providers, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts) sent teams on a virtual journey from an inland city all the way to the coast, one walk, ride, swim, and living-room yoga session at a time. The challenge kicked off in August with more than 500 Klaviyos participating on 90+ teams. Michael Hoang started his own run club to keep his steps up. Steven Bonnard climbed Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales. And Criss Bozarjian squeezed in an official one mile race along the way. His team took first place overall, with each member averaging more than 23,000 steps a day for the entire challenge. Collectively, we covered enough distance to circle the globe three and a half times, but the tally on laughs and smack talk remains unofficial. Builders take care of their foundations. This month, a whole lot of us proved it. 💪

What happens when you run an after-work event and half the room falls asleep? 😴 Singapore's first K-Ladies event was a yoga class 🧘 and a sound bath 🥣 🎶 . A few people drifted off, a few sat there with their minds going, and everyones nervous systems were in better shape by the end of it. K-Ladies is one of our Klaviyo Resource Groups (KRGs). They're employee-led, which means somebody has to decide to start one. In Singapore, that was Lisa Tan, in an office that's only a few months old. Huge thanks to Lisa! An office doesn't become somewhere people want to be because of the furniture. It becomes that when someone books a yoga class after work and people actually turn up. The culture didn't wait. Join us in Singapore, and you're early enough to shape what it becomes, not just inherit it. #LifeAtKlaviyo #BuiltDifferent

  • What makes a workplace worth showing up for? Our Community Manager Emily Murison broke it down for Hampr, and her answer is exactly why we love having her on the team. Thanks to Emily and the team at Hampr for sharing #BuiltDifferent

The bar for a great workplace has never been higher. 🚀 For Emily Murison, Community Manager at Klaviyo, it's less about the desk, more about the experience. Over the last five years, what people expect from a workspace has shifted dramatically. It's no longer just about a desk and four walls. It's about an environment that makes collaboration natural, focus possible, and work something people actually look forward to. Get to know Emily and what it means to have a "great workplace culture" 👇 #WorkplaceCulture #EmployeeExperience #FutureOfWork #WorkspaceDesign #CommunityManagement

Some office moves are just about square footage. This one's about roots. We've signed a 10-year lease on One Le Pole Square, Klaviyo's new EMEA headquarters, set in the heart of historic Dublin a few steps from Dublin Castle. Old city, new home, and a building designed with enough character to feel like it's actually ours. As Chief People Officer Carmel Galvin put it, this was never a satellite office. Dublin already makes real decisions about how Klaviyo grows across the region, and this space gives that team, on track to grow towards 250 people, a home to keep building from. Design work starts now. We're targeting a move for August 2027. #LifeAtKlaviyo #BuiltDifferent #Dublin Read more: https://lnkd.in/gA95FQjP

  • "Boston should be one of the places leading the way" on entrepreneurship. That's the Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship line, but we'll happily be the example. Their DEAL program, a first-year pre-orientation cohort built around entrepreneurship and leadership, spent an afternoon in our Boston office last week. CEO Andrew Bialecki hosted a fireside chat on his experience building Klaviyo, and took questions on careers and building things from scratch. A full building tour followed. Some of these students will be founders themselves in a few years. Great to share how building at Klaviyo looks. Thanks to Bill Aulet and the DEAL team for including us. #LifeAtKlaviyo #BuiltDifferent

“We’ve always believed the world needs more entrepreneurs, and that Boston should be one of the places leading the way” Thank you to Klaviyo CEO, Andrew Bialecki, for hosting a fireside chat, sharing your journey to success, and engaging with our students around their educational and career goals. As part of our DEAL (Discover Entrepreneurship and Leadership) - First Year Pre-Orientation Program (FPOP), our cohort of students also had the chance to visit Klaviyo’s Boston location last week. After enjoying a fireside chat, they were able to get a tour of the beautiful building – experiencing everything working in the Boston tech sphere has to offer!  Thank you to the entire Klaviyo team for welcoming us into your space! Our students left feeling inspired about where the next four years at MIT can take them.

  • Last Friday, Klaviyos around the world logged off for one of our company Recharge Days. No meetings, no Slack, no backlog waiting for you Monday morning (lights still on for our customers, of course). We have these days because we do our best work when we're not running on empty. We asked Klaviyos how they spent the day, and the thread did not disappoint. From theme parks, concerts, and zoos to spas, pool days, and overdue closet purges, people found no shortage of ways to fill the time. Mike Oren hopped on a train to Milwaukee to do a Doctor Who-themed geocache with his mom, something they'd been talking about doing for years. Sarah Delaney spent some time backpacking above the clouds in Grand Teton National Park, outfitted with gear supplied by a Klaviyo customer (or two). Daniel Koutris ended up in a mountain pool in southwestern Vermont and claims to have achieved inner peace. By the looks of it, we wouldn’t argue. We already knew that Klaviyos are built different. This Recharge Day just gave us another proof point.
