"just post more" is... actually not a business strategy. every day, i open this hellscape of an app and see people insisting that ✨ posting every day✨ is the secret to turning your linkedin profile into some sort of silver pipeline bullet. and i totally get why it's so seductive. posting is the one variable that feels fully within your control. you can't make the algorithm love you, and you can't make the right person happen to be online at the right time, but you can make yourself hit publish. that makes it reallyyy easy to white-knuckle our way through a content calendar and wait for the pipeline to magically show up. but reality doesn't really work like that. what really happens: your post goes out, a few people react, some bot leaves the most ChatGPT-generated comment you've ever seen... and then the week ends and not a single one of those little dopamine hits has turned into any meaningful conversation. because it's never been a posting problem. thrilled to be joined by Valerie Chapman and Maria Gharib on September 30 to talk about this content-to-lead gap. we're taking the stuff you're already posting and building the part that actually turns a reaction into a conversation.
Could you drop the registration link here please Drue Stinnett Maybell ? This looks like an awesome session. Michael Kurson I think this is something you would be interested in attending!
'this hellscape of an app' made me 😂 I think more than just showing up with a post because you 'have to post', just follows what works IRL: show up like a human being, connect and engage. Have real conversations, listen, give feedback. Leading with that will always yield better results.
The useful distinction is between reach and recall. Daily posting buys reach, but a conversation only starts when someone can remember what you are actually for, and that is a positioning problem rather than a volume one. Most content calendars measure the first and quietly hope for the second.
I post most days but would never advise that as a strategy on its own. Commenting every day (with real comments, in your community and with your ICP) is def worth it though.
