Today Two Bear Capital portfolio company Dymium, Inc introduced GhostAI - a secure AI gateway that delivers contextual, unified governance between enterprise systems and every LLM. “Dymium founder and Chief Executive Denzil Wessels said the product addresses the conflict companies face when they combine AI models with internal information. The frontier AI labs may keep their lead. Defenders will not keep their monopoly. The latest open models are being celebrated as evidence that the gap with closed systems is disappearing. I think that misses the more important point. Open models do not need to reach the absolute frontier to change the security landscape. They only need to become capable enough to lower the cost of vulnerability discovery, reconnaissance, exploit development, and autonomous operations. That threshold is arriving quickly. For CISOs and risk leaders, the implication is uncomfortable: privileged access to better models will not provide a durable defensive advantage. Security will depend far more on patch velocity, identity controls, telemetry, response speed, and the resilience of the third parties in your supply chain.
