Okay, pet industry data geeks: The info is encouraging, but it also raises an important question: Are we measuring growth, or are we measuring access? If pets have become family members and protected budget items, that’s a powerful cultural shift. But as costs rise, we need to pay equal attention to the people who are struggling to keep their pets. 💡 The future of pet ownership won’t be defined solely by what consumers are willing to spend. It will be defined by whether communities, housing providers, businesses, policymakers, and the industry itself can keep pet ownership accessible for the people who need it most. 🐶 Keep wagging! #Wagtown #DogFriendlyExpert®️

A recent survey found that 30% of U.S. pet owners spend more on their pets each month than they do on their own health and wellness. The finding highlights a broader trend across the pet care industry: pets are increasingly viewed as family members, and spending habits reflect that shift. As pet owners continue prioritizing wellness, preventative care, and quality of life for their animals, expectations around accessibility, transparency, and convenience will continue to evolve as well. The human-animal bond has never been stronger. https://lnkd.in/ePST_qJ6 #petcareindustry #animalhealth #veterinarymedicine #petcare #petparents

While reviewing recent industry data from Forbes Advisor, one number immediately stood out: The average annual cost of essential dog expenses is now around $1,533. And for pet parents who use doggy daycare just twice a week, that's nearly another $3,000 a year. At first glance, these numbers tell a story about rising costs. But look a little closer, and they reveal something much bigger. Pets are no longer viewed simply as animals we care for. They have become deeply integrated into our families, routines, and long-term life plans. Just look at where the money goes: • Preventative and premium care: More people are investing in veterinary medicine, insurance, wellness, and nutrition—not just to treat illness, but to support longer, healthier lives. • Lifestyle integration: Spending on boarding and daycare reflects a growing commitment to ensuring pets are cared for, stimulated, and supported when work or travel takes us away from home. These aren't just spending trends. They're a reflection of changing priorities. We are investing more in our pets because they mean more to us than ever before. The rising cost of pet ownership isn't only about inflation or premium services. It's also a reflection of how many people now view their pets: not just as companions, but as family. #PetIndustry #PetParents #DogOwners #PetCare #DogCare #PetWellness #PetHealth #PetInsurance #PetLifestyle #PetServices

Create a lobby that feels like a quiet sanctuary from the very first step. Overlapping arrivals and departures can create unnecessary chaos in a pet facility. Implementing a staggered scheduling system reduces lobby congestion and keeps stress levels low for both pets and staff. By spacing drop-offs and pick-ups by even fifteen minutes, you create a calmer environment that reflects professional excellence. This simple operational shift improves the client experience and ensures each pet receives your full attention the moment they walk through the door. Small changes lead to big results in pet care excellence. #PetProSearch #PetIndustryTips #BusinessOperations #PetCare #PetProTips

Pets are no longer just pets they're family. In fact, 67% of UK pet owners say their pet's health is just as important as their own. That shift is changing expectations across the pet care industry. Pet owners are investing more in preventative care, seeking trusted advice online, and expecting easier access to services than ever before. As these expectations continue to evolve, the industry must evolve alongside them. The future of pet care is built on trust, accessibility, and connection. #UKVetmed #PetCareUK #VeterinaryIndustry #VetLifeUK #PetTechUK #PetProfessionals
