Lately on CXOTalk, we’ve begun focusing on the use of AI agents being employed in the enterprise. Some organizations have begun experimenting with them to learn what these AI agents can safely be used for. Others have begun to employ them in production at scale. The biggest impact of AI agents is embedding them in business workflows. But what does that mean? What does that entail? What does that do for human judgement? How do we, humans, develop our powers of judgement? There are workflows within a business function. There are workflows that cross business functions. What can go wrong? Who owns the success and the problems? How do managers coordinate this ownership as the AI agent moves from one business boundary to another? Also, the biggest gain and some of the hardest problems is redesigning a workflow to take advantage of AI agent control. CXOTalk host Michael Krigsman welcomes back two long-time guests to talk about “CIO Playbook: Agentic AI in the Enterprise”: * Anthony Scriffignano, Ph.D., a former Chief Data Scientist at Dun & Bradstreet, who is now a Distinguished Fellow with The Stimson Center Tim Crawford, CIO Advisor and Founder of AVOA This Friday, 15 May 2026, [video] interview streaming LIVE at 1 pm EDST / 10 am PDST. https://lnkd.in/eG5fiykX Or register for the LinkedIn event here https://lnkd.in/eCF6N4Aa What does accountability mean when agentic workflows work in (or across) the enterprise and who / what is accountable when AI agents make mistakes? For decades, institutional knowledge lived with people, processes, and systems. Today, it is increasingly being captured, processed, and surfaced by AI. Which raises a critical leadership question: Who owns enterprise knowledge in an AI-driven organization? As organizations accelerate AI adoption, conversations around data governance are growing. Knowledge governance should be too. Because the future competitive advantage may not be access to AI. It may be ownership and stewardship of enterprise knowledge. As AI becomes increasingly dependent on enterprise knowledge, confidence in the quality, lineage, and governance of that information becomes critical. How is your organization ensuring its knowledge assets remain trusted and enterprise-ready? https://zyrix.ai/ Sudhakar Pennam | Jagadish Mankal | Radhika Rao | Parthasarathi Bhattacharjee | Dipti Agarwal | Pardha Saradhi V Chittineni | Ram Swaroop Rangisetti | Pankaj Polepalli | Andrew Jackson | Durga Bhattiprolu | Seetepalli R. | Abdulla Valakundil | Tatiana Pellegrin | Pavan Kumar Irrinki | #TheTrustImperative #KnowledgeManagement #DataGovernance #AI #EnterpriseLeadership #DigitalStrategy #EnterpriseAI #ZyrixAI

We've just published new insights from C-suite leaders captured live at our AI CEO Summit in April 2026. The headline? Enterprise AI has left the pilot phase entirely. 95% of the Fortune 1000 organisations surveyed now have live AI use cases delivering measurable value, or AI fully embedded in their core products and strategy. Just 5% are still running scattered pilots. A few other findings that stood out: - 85% of leaders are taking a hybrid approach: building proprietary layers on top of foundation models rather than going fully in-house or fully off-the-shelf - The jobs debate is genuinely split: 52% expect headcount to expand or stay flat; 48% plan to reduce or replace roles - On agentic AI: only 25% think it's overhyped. 75% say the hype is either justified or an underestimate of what's coming These are directional signals from some of the most senior enterprise AI decision-makers in the market. It’s worth a read if you're thinking about where AI strategy is heading. Read the full report here: https://lnkd.in/eMwVu_FN #AIStrategy #EnterpriseAI #AIInfrastructure #FutureOfWork #AIInfraSummit

The AI race just took a massive turn, and the leaderboard looks different than you think. 📉🚀 If you thought OpenAI was the undisputed king of the enterprise, it’s time to look at the data. New insights from Ramp reveal a major shift in how businesses are spending their AI budgets, and it’s not just hype—it’s a $100 billion opportunity. Here is what you need to know today: 🔹 **Anthropic is winning the enterprise battle:** According to expense data from fintech firm Ramp, 34.4% of businesses are now paying for Anthropic services, officially edging out OpenAI’s 32.3%. It’s clear that businesses are increasingly prioritizing safety and specific model capabilities in their workflows. 🔹 **The "Agentic" gold rush:** Bain & Company just dropped a massive forecast: a $100 billion SaaS market specifically for agentic AI. The focus is shifting from simple chatbots to autonomous agents that handle coordination and heavy lifting within complex enterprise systems. **The takeaway?** We are moving beyond the "experimental" phase of AI. Enterprises are betting big on automation that actually *does* work, not just chats. The tools that solve for workflow integration are the ones winning the wallet share. Are you seeing this shift in your own organization, or are you still sticking with the market leaders? Let’s discuss in the comments! 👇 Sources: 1. Anthropic vs. OpenAI: https://lnkd.in/ez762cY9 2. Yesterday, I had the privilege of delivering a keynote session at the AGENTIC AI SUMMIT 2026, where I spoke on a topic that I believe will define the future of responsible AI: "Governance-by-Design: Building Agentic AI Systems That Meet Regulatory Expectations from Day One." As AI evolves from simple predictive models into autonomous agents capable of planning, deciding, acting, and collaborating, governance can no longer be treated as a final-stage compliance exercise. It must become part of the architecture itself. During the session, I shared a practical framework built around five pillars: Data Governance, Model Governance, Agent Governance, Decision Governance, and Continuous Monitoring. We explored how organisations can move beyond reactive compliance and build AI systems that are trustworthy, transparent, auditable, and accountable from the outset. One message resonated strongly throughout the discussion: "The future belongs not to the organisations that build the most AI, but to those that build the most trusted AI." I am grateful to the organisers, fellow speakers, and attendees for the engaging conversations and thoughtful questions. It was encouraging to see so many professionals committed to ensuring that innovation and responsibility progress together. Receiving this certificate is an honour, but the real reward was contributing to an important global conversation about how we build AI systems that people can genuinely trust. Looking forward to continuing the dialogue and helping organisations embed responsible AI principles into practice. #AgenticAI #AIGovernance #ResponsibleAI #DataGovernance #ArtificialIntelligence #TrustworthyAI #AIEthics #DataLeadership #GovernanceByDesign #Leadership #Innovation

AI Is Scaling—But Governance Will Determine Who Wins The Hidden Bottleneck: Unstructured Data One of the most practical insights came from a live demonstration comparing two AI environments—one using raw, unstructured data and another enriched with metadata. The difference in outcomes was immediate: higher accuracy, lower risk, and significantly better efficiency in the structured environment. This reinforces a growing reality. Unstructured data – documents, files, and internal content scattered across platforms – is both the largest opportunity and the biggest barrier. Without metadata, context, and governance, AI systems struggle to interpret data correctly, leading to inefficiencies and increased costs. To learn more about why governance often falls short, read the entire article https://lnkd.in/eSCyK99E. Or Comment or DM “GOVERNANCE” and I’ll share a practical setup tailored to your organization - so you can define the right governance model before you scale. by Ronald van Loon | #CollibraPartner Collibra #ArtificialIntelligence #GenerativeAI #Innovation #DigitalTransformation #DataSecurity #Leadership #Technology

With so much buzz about AI, it is no surprise that people have questions about the wild assumptions being passed around about artificial intelligence. If you are looking to make sense of the current AI landscape, understand how the current state of this technology applies to you or your company, and want to learn how augmenting your processes with AI can turn your team of rock stars into a team of legends, let's connect!
AI consulting just had its reality check. $2.5 trillion spent. 56% of CEOs still can't point to ROI. Here's what's actually happening in 2026, from our research: Agentic AI grew 340% last year. Yet most companies are still running pilots, not production systems. The gap between "we tried it" and "it's driving value" is where the real consulting work is happening now. Only 12% of organizations see both revenue lift AND cost reduction from AI. The ones that do three things differently: rebuild workflows from scratch (not patch old ones), put 70% of resources into people and process (not models), and bake cost governance in from day one. Governance just became mandatory. The EU AI Act starts full enforcement in August 2026. Only 23% of companies have a mature AI governance framework. The window to get ahead is closing fast. The consulting industry is splitting in half. Mega-firms consolidating through M&A. AI-native boutiques eating lunch by being faster and cheaper. Clients are no longer asking "which firm?" — they're asking "which model of delivery?" At Hackshack Labs, we're building in the middle of this shift. Not selling strategy decks. Building systems. Measuring outcomes. Helping teams cross the pilot-to-production gap. The companies that win this cycle won't be the ones that talked the most about AI. They'll be the ones that built the best workflows, measured them rigorously, and kept their governance tight. What's your experience? Seeing ROI from AI, or are you in the 56%? #AIConsulting #AgenticAI #AIGovernance #AI #DigitalTransformation #BusinessStrategy #AIImplementation #HackshackLabs #ROI #EnterpriseAI
