From the course: Diversity Across Generations: Supporting Workplace Inclusion

Generational inclusion

- It almost goes without saying that today's workforce is one of the most diverse we've ever seen. People from multiple generations, races and walks of life are converging in the workplace and it's definitely changing the ways organizations do business. As a leader, it's your responsibility to tap into the best of these groups and use it to help create an optimal working environment. And that's what I'm going to be teaching you during this course. My name's Linda Croyle and I'm a consultant, speaker and educator, and I'm really passionate about generational diversity and other ways of helping people and organizations rise to their potential. In this course, I'm going to help you understand what multi-generational diversity means, what each generation's common characteristics are, and what the implications are. I'm also going to describe today's generational climate and give you tools to plan for your organization's future success. You'll learn how to connect with your younger employees and how to work with your older employees. I'm going to help you move beyond bias and avoid things like age discrimination. By the end of this course, you're going to have the tools and skills you need to successfully get the most out of each employee so that your organization can rise to its potential. So if you're ready to get going, let's get started.
