In this lesson we'll see how to register for a free Oracle trial account for the cloud, if you don't have one, connect to that Oracle Cloud account, run keygen to generate public and private keys for SSH access, provision a VM compute instance where we'll do our work, set up VNC access and connect to that virtual machine using Tiger VNC, download NetBeans into the virtual machine, set the proper JDK, Java Development Kit, for the virtual machine, install NetBeans and test that NetBeans starts and runs correctly. If you access oracle.com or go to cloud.oracle.com, you'll access this page where you can access a free Oracle trial account. Now because this is a free Java course, we decided that the students could bring their own trial account with them and use their own account.
