Victor Lanio פרסם/פרסמה את זה מחדשVictor Lanio פרסם/פרסמה את זה מחדשWe are excited to announce that Flare Capital Partners has led the $16.5 million Series A for GenHealth.ai. The company builds and deploys AI employees that automates admin operations end-to-end for healthcare providers, bringing total funding for the company to $30 million. We are joined by existing investors Craft Ventures and Obvious Ventures, along with new investors Eniac Ventures, InHealth Ventures, Epsilon Health Investors, LLC, and ARTIS. The US healthcare industry spends approximately $1 trillion a year on administration, roughly 20% to 25% of every healthcare dollar, and that figure has not meaningfully improved in decades. Of that total, approximately $200 billion sits in the financial transactions ecosystem alone: the claims processing, payment, patient collections, and prior authorization work that moves between providers and payers. We believe this represents a generational opportunity to finally bring automation to work that has long been out of reach. The AI digital employees built by GenHealth are purpose-built for this challenge. The platform enables provider organizations to complete revenue cycle workflows end-to-end with: 1️⃣ AI digital employees that work across EHRs, payer portals, phone, and fax, logging into the systems customers already use, with their own credentials 2️⃣ End-to-end coverage of intake, eligibility, prior authorization, billing, and denials 3️⃣ Flow Builder, a modular workflow engine resolved to code, with deep integrations into Brightree, eClinicalWorks, Athenahealth, payer portals, and state Medicaid systems 4️⃣ A proprietary medical model trained on 140 million patients, supplying clinical context that generic models lack Customers report as much as a fourfold increase in productivity and revenue increases of more than 30% through better patient capture and cleaner claims. First customers took six months to go live; new customers now go live in two to three days. We believe the next era of healthcare infrastructure will be defined by systems that complete work rather than record it. GenHealth sits squarely at that intersection and we are thrilled to partner with Ricky Sahu, Ethan Siegel, and team as they build the future of healthcare back-office automation. Victor Lanio שיתף את זהWe're excited to announce that Flare Capital Partners has led GenHealth.ai's Series A, alongside Obvious Ventures, Craft Ventures, Eniac Ventures, InHealth Ventures, Epsilon Health Investors, LLC and ARTIS VENTURES. I met Ricky Sahu back in 2017 when I was a couple months into the job here at Flare Capital, and he was just getting started with 1upHealth. When we reconnected to discuss this round, we were super impressed by his team - Ethan Siegel, Mike Maseda and many others - and I don't think I have ever seen more customers sign and onboard during diligence. A lot has transpired over the past decade, but our admiration for Ricky has only deepened, and we couldn't be more excited about finally partnering!Victor Lanio שיתף את זהWe just raised a $16.5M Series A at GenHealth led by Flare Capital Partners, with Obvious, Craft, Eniac, InHealth, Epsilon Health Investors and ARTIS! This brings funding to $30M total. GenHealth builds AI employees that run the medical back office: intake, eligibility, prior auth, billing, denials across RCM and other workflows. They work inside our customer's EHR, payer portals, fax and phone, and complete the workflow end to end just like a human alongside our customer's teams. We've seen amazing outcomes with customers get paid 30%+ more and saving millions of $ a year on the admin burden. The US spends about $1T a year on healthcare admin and most of it is people doing work software wasn't able to touch before. In the near future, AI will do automate the majority of this and GenHealth will be the most complete solution. Thanks to our investors, customers, and everyone who backed us. The conversation centered on one of the most consequential questions facing our industry: as foundation models commoditize and product roadmaps converge, who wins the healthcare AI stack? We were fortunate to have five exceptional panelists bring their unfiltered perspectives to that question. Erika Pabo, MD, MBA (CenterWell) and John Halamka, M.D., M.S. (Mayo Clinic Platform) shared how enterprise buyers are pushing the boundaries of build-buy-partner in the rapidly changing world of AI. Raghav Mani (NVIDIA) challenged the room's assumptions that foundational models are commoditizing at all and where competition begins. David Sontag (Layer Health) and Amit Bhatt (Counsel Health) spoke about the operational reality of building clinical AI companies in a moment of extraordinary technological change and how to stand out in the market. Victor Lanio פרסם/פרסמה את זה מחדשVictor Lanio פרסם/פרסמה את זה מחדשBoston's first Tech Week deserves a health tech event that matches the ambition of the ecosystem. We are excited to announce Shipping It In Boston: Healthcare AI Edition — a gathering co-hosted by Flare Capital Partners in partnership with MassMutual, Silicon Valley Bank, Goodwin, and the Massachusetts AI Coalition at Boston's inaugural Tech Week. The race to own the healthcare AI stack is accelerating. Foundation models are commoditizing. Product roadmaps are converging. EHR incumbents are embedding AI natively into clinical workflows and Big Tech is moving deeper into healthcare. Every player in the stack — from early-stage companies to established enterprises — is asking the same question: if the model is no longer the moat, what is? On May 27th we are bringing together an invitation-only panel of the founders, enterprise buyers, and technology leaders who are deciding that answer in real time — in the contracts they sign, the products they ship, and the bets they place. Panelists include: David Sontag, Co-Founder & CEO, Layer Health Muthu Alagappan, MD, Founder & CEO, Counsel Health John Halamka, M.D., M.S., Dwight and Dian Diercks President, Mayo Clinic Erika Pabo, MD, MBA, Management Service Organization and Medical Business President, CenterWell 💫 🚀 Space is limited. 4חודשVictor Lanio פרסם/פרסמה את זה מחדשThese investors are betting big on the solutions designed to tackle healthcare’s most urgent bottleneck – administration. In 2025, health management solutions captured $5.6B in venture funding, accounting for 18.8% of all global digital health investment. AI has become the indisputable core infrastructure: an unprecedented 83% of health management solutions capital flowed into AI-powered ventures by early 2026, up from 61% in 2021. The market is rapidly consolidating around late-stage platforms, with average deal size tripling from $11.9 million in Q1 2022 to $35.4 million in Q1 2026. Why does this matter? Because modern healthcare is no longer being rebuilt around patients alone. It is being rebuilt around intelligent operational infrastructure. What are health systems actually buying? Solutions that automate workflows, reduce clinician burden, optimise scheduling, and streamline patient intake. Healthcare operations & workflow alone captured 46% of all health system partnerships in 2025, proving systems are prioritising measurable ROI and capacity relief. Where is the growth happening fastest? Asia Pacific saw +87% year-on-year funding growth in 2025 as health systems accelerated AI-native transformation from the ground up. The implication is clear: healthcare delivery is becoming an integrated, intelligence-driven operating system – and capital markets are aggressively funding the transition. Victor Lanio אהבתי את זהVictor Lanio אהבתי את זהWe are excited to announce that Flare Capital Partners has led the $5 million funding round for Kairon Health, a company building the AI-native execution layer for value-based care. We are joined by Tau Ventures, Lightbank, General Advance, and Pave Health Ventures. Accountable care organizations and health systems face the largest structural change to Medicare risk models in a decade, with ACO REACH concluding and the new LEAD model set to begin in 2027. We believe this moment demands a fundamentally different approach to how value-based care actually gets done and we are excited to back a team building for it. For years, ACOs and health networks have bought analytic solutions that flag care gaps, but closing those gaps still falls to staff working across disjointed data systems and spreadsheets. That model leaves too much work and too little proof that any of the work moved the needle. Kairon is purpose-built for this shift. The platform ingests, normalizes and links data and drives the actual work of closing gaps with: 1️⃣ Claims, clinical records, ADT feeds, labs and pharmacy data unified into one view 2️⃣ Qualitative signals other systems discard — meeting transcripts, field notes and CRM logs 3️⃣ A single, payer-agnostic patient-to-practice model 4️⃣ Built-in measurement of whether an intervention actually closed the gap Kairon is live today across MSSP, ACO REACH, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid and commercial contracts covering more than 1 million attributed lives in 30+ states, including one national ACO enabler managing 350,000-plus Medicare lives and a hospital system managing value-based care for approximately 350,000 lives. We are thrilled to partner with Nick Bartz, Evan Gogel, and team as they build the future of value-based care execution. Check out full story in the comments below. Thank you Ngai Yeung at Endpoints News for sharing the Kairon story!

Victor Lanio אהבתי את זהI am really excited to finally share this. Some of the most consequential decisions about AI in healthcare are being made right now, thoughtfully, but often in isolation. And the best decisions in this moment won't be made in parallel. They will be made together. On October 13–14 in New York City, they will be. Introducing Quorum: an invitation-only summit co-hosted by Flare Capital Partners and Google, bringing together approximately 150 executives, founders, frontier lab leaders, and policymakers to chart a smarter, more trustworthy path to AI adoption in healthcare. Introducing: Quorum, an exclusive gathering where the most influential thinkers in healthcare AI convene, co-hosted by Flare Capital Partners and Google, on October 13-14, 2026, in New York City. When we set out to build Quorum, we had one goal: create the room we wished existed, where the people building and deploying AI in healthcare and life sciences could speak candidly, without the usual conference noise. Quorum exists for a simple reason: the most consequential conversations in healthcare AI happen when the most influential people in the field are in the same room. Quorum is an invite-only gathering of leading thinkers and builders across the healthcare AI ecosystem, including corporate executives, frontier AI labs, big tech, government, founders, operators, and investors for substantive, high-signal talks on where AI delivers real impact in healthcare and where the hardest challenges remain. The event is curated to foster candid, cross-sector talks that are hard to find elsewhere in the industry. Few conversations feel as timely as the ones we will cover at Quorum. Confirmed speakers include: Seema Verma, EVP & GM, Oracle Health & Life Sciences Katerina Guerraz, Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, Aetna & President of Medicaid, Aetna, a CVS Health Company Kurt Herzer, Healthcare & Life Sciences Public Policy, Anthropic Catherine Pollard, Director of Impact, Google DeepMind Stephanie Carlton, Chief Clinical AI Officer, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Aneesh Chopra, Chair, Arcadia Institute Niyum Gandhi, Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer, Mass General Brigham Rob Purinton, DEng, MBA, Chief AI Officer, AdventHealth John Brownstein, Chief Innovation Officer, Boston Children's Hospital Sachin Nanavati, SVP & General Manager, OpenEvidence Matt Holt, Founder, Thoreau Peter Clardy, Director of Clinical Enterprise, Google Paul Moskowitz, Partner, Bain Capital Najat Khan, PhD, Chief Executive Officer & President, Recursion Michael Gao, MD, Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer, SmarterDx Zach Weinberg, Founder, Curie.Bio & Co-Founder, Flatiron Health David Sontag, Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Layer Health Melisa Tucker, Chief Data Officer, Tempus AI Gaurav Singal, MD, Former Chief Data Officer, Foundation Medicine & Advisor, GV (Google Ventures) as well as representatives from NVIDIA and other leading AI model developers. Translucent Raises $27M to Replace Manual FP&A with Agentic AI Built for Healthcare – AlleyWatch Healthcare providers in the U.S. now face a structural paradox: national healthcare spending surpassed $5.6T in 2025, yet most hospitals and health systems operate on margins of 2-5% while managing billion-dollar organizations through fragmented financial systems that deliver insight days or weeks after the fact. That information lag carries real consequences; last year alone, 20 hospitals filed for bankruptcy and 23 hospitals and emergency departments closed, while more than 700 rural hospitals currently sit at risk of shuttering because financial problems go undetected long enough to become irreversible....

Most oncology innovations are evaluated on outcomes. Health IT teams evaluate them on integration risk. The Journal of Oncology Practice (JCO OP) continues to highlight the growing complexity of oncology operations, from reimbursement structures to prior authorization workflows and care coordination. But for CIOs, CTOs, and health IT leaders, the key question is different: How do these workflows translate into systems that actually integrate with existing infrastructure? At Hidalga Technologies, staying current with this research informs how we design our platform: • structured outputs that align with clinical documentation workflows • architecture designed for EMR compatibility • API-ready systems that support interoperability • data models aligned with emerging standards like FHIR Because in oncology care, the challenge is not just solving the problem. It is doing so without disrupting the systems already in place. For technical leaders evaluating new solutions, JCO OP provides valuable insight into how operational complexity translates into system requirements. Everyone is talking about digital health disrupting traditional healthcare. Nobody is talking about traditional healthcare acquiring digital health at distressed valuations. UHS's $835M acquisition of Talkspace isn't a defensive move—it's capacity arbitrage. While the market obsesses over telehealth companies "threatening" hospital operators, sophisticated buyers recognized these platforms spent a decade building something far more valuable than technology: regulatory compliance infrastructure. Multi-state licensure frameworks. Provider credentialing systems. Payer contracting and claims processing capabilities. This compliance apparatus costs tens of millions and requires years to construct. UHS just bought it outright—likely at a significant discount to Talkspace's peak valuation. The behavioral health sector trades at 10-14x EBITDA for facility-based operators. Digital platforms with subscription models traded at 1-3x revenue during the 2023-2024 correction. That spread represents the exit window for venture-backed companies with real infrastructure. The contrarian thesis: digital health's greatest value isn't disruption—it's providing legacy operators with pre-built regulatory and operational capabilities they can't efficiently develop internally. Build versus buy just got definitively answered. #HealthcareMandA #DigitalHealth #BehavioralHealth #HealthTech #PrivateEquity

I finally sat down Aaron Neiderhiser of Tuva Health and Phil Ballentine from Atropos Health (for what might be the most pragmatic conversation on healthcare analytics that's ever been recorded.) This episode perfectly ties into my recent presentation at the FHIR Analytics Conference, where we dug deep into the "unsexy" but critical reality of making FHIR data usable for analytics at scale. In this episode, we breakdown: The CQL to SQL Opportunity: Why Clinical Quality Language (CQL) is perfect for defining logic for standard "FHIR", but compiling it into SQL is the logical way to execute it efficiently in modern data warehouses. The "Dump Truck" Reality: Why analytics teams still prefer flat files over APIs (and how we solve the "Larry" bottleneck at health systems). FHIR Maturity: Is the industry treating R5 like "Windows ME"? (Phil has spicy thoughts on this). The Future: How AI Agents are becoming the "connective tissue" to automate the messy work of mapping and flattening data. We agreed on air to collaborate on connecting Tuva Health’s proven data models with FHIR using MCP Servers (Model Context Protocol)! This is a massive opportunity to make standardized healthcare data instantly usable for real-world business cases. Stay tuned! The Equation: SQL on FHIR + CQL to SQL + Tuva Health = The opportunity to finally extend FHIR beyond compliance and into legitimate, scalable business analytics. “We communicate more than ever and nothing changes.” At HLTH USA, that line stuck with Jonas Puente, Associate Principal at ZS Associates—and it sparked a deeper look at why health plans can reach members across every channel and still struggle to influence behavior. Puente breaks down why communication volume doesn’t equal impact, and why many payer strategies stall at engagement instead of driving real behavior change. He outlines a behavioral ladder—from outreach to trust—and explores what’s often missing: meaning, context, and human factors. The takeaway? AI and omnichannel tools only create progress when they’re grounded in: ✔️ Health literacy ✔️ Language and cultural relevance ✔️ Member agency Used thoughtfully, AI can help plans measure behavioral movement, not just scale messages. 📖 Read the full article:: https://lnkd.in/ePZ2gvCb

HHS just issued an RFI to crowdsource ways to push AI deeper into patient facing workflows. The call targets tweaks to digital health regs reimbursement models and R&D funding to cut provider load boost outcomes and drop costs while eyeing clinical over admin tools. Builders buyers and barrier hitters get priority input on barriers like legacy payments that starve high value AI and rules that slow non device deployment. OneHHS lens ties this to agency wide strategy under Trump deregulatory push balancing speed with HIPAA civil rights. Capital will chase pilots that prove deflationary impact on care delivery which forces payers to realign incentives around workflow AI not just back office wins. Public private CRADAs and accreditation nods signal path to scale beyond high acuity experiments. What regulatory lever flips AI from admin helper to clinical standard? #HealthAI #HHSAI #ClinicalAI #AIAdoption #MedTech #HealthTechPolicy #ONC #AIPayments

Key risks to consider: 1) The ambient scribe market is very competitive, which could lead to pricing pressure, 2) The pace of technology innovation is rapidly evolving and could require increased investment that inhibits the ability to deliver attractive margins and cash flow, 3) EHR vendors exert strong influence and could have an advantage on platform sales, 4) Many health systems operate with low margins and could be under pressure from cuts to government funded programs, impacting their ability to invest in IT, 5) Payors are deploying AI tools in utilization management and documentation review, which could limit the benefits that accrue to providers.
