I volunteered for a 4-month Advanced Testing Internship where I expanded my IT skill set with a wide variety of tasks, including: research & documentation of advanced testing procedures, hardware troubleshooting (sound/video cards, motherboards, processors, RAM, HDD, routers), Linux command line debugging, and an understanding of the current electronics marketplace.
During my time spent as a volunteer at Free Geek, I cultivated an appreciation for e-recycling at the community level and the impact of the Open Source philosophy. Free Geek is a great place to learn, have fun, and feel like a part of something greater than yourself. Check them out!
