Friction is the enemy. Health records are YOUR data. They should be easy to access so you get the best care possible. Similarly, doctors and nurses need to be spending their time caring for patients -- not managing tens of different logins across healthcare apps. It was, by far, my least favorite login experience. The Treasury of the United States is a prestigious institution. I get chills every time I walk by Alexander Hamilton's statue out front. So, it was amazing to get to deliver a secure and modern login experience for Americans to buy, manage, and redeem government securities without having to pay brokerage commissions. https://lnkd.in/exru5D73 I'm super proud of the ID.me team and thankful for our great partners at Treasury.

I’ll continue with Crosslink as a Venture Partner as I transition my work and lay the groundwork for what’s next. More to share on that soon, but today is about gratitude. Venture is a very long game. I watched plenty of peers come and go or move between firms, and at times I questioned my own decision to stay in one place for more than a decade. I’m very glad I did. Some lessons in early-stage investing can only be learned by seeing things all the way through, experiencing the extreme highs and lows and living with the outcomes over many years. I’m deeply grateful to my partners for giving me that opportunity and for their mentorship along the way. Crosslink has 37 years of institutional success and still manages to operate like a family. That is rare in this industry, and something I’ll always value. Thank you to my partners and team at Crosslink: Eric, Gabby, David, Matt, Michael, James, Maureen, Tobias, Anduena, Alexis, Julia, and to the many others I’ve had the privilege of working alongside over the years. The hardest part of this transition is taking a step back from the founders I’ve worked so closely with. There is a special bond between an investor and a founder you believed in from the early days. It’s unlike any other professional relationship, and it remains my favorite part of the job. To Wardah, Alexi, Brandon, Nabeil, Ronan, Conor, Gabriel, Christopher, Rema, Corry, Chris, Jifei, San, Raymond, Nick, Pete, Samy, David, Henry, Ajay, Jeff, and the many other founders I’ve had the privilege of working with, thank you for trusting me to be part of your journey. With some of you, we’ve been in the trenches together for years. With others, we were just getting started. Those relationships aren’t going anywhere, but it still feels like the end of a meaningful chapter. I’m excited to reconnect with the founders, co-investors, LPs, and collaborators who have been such important allies over the years, and to build the next chapter together. More soon.
