New in Credit Union Times: Desert Financial Credit Union increased its daily indirect auto loan funding capacity by 66% after integrating MeridianLink's lending platform with Informed.IQ's AI-powered document automation. Rising dealer volume, manual document reviews and complex stipulations were stacking up on the funding team. VAMP is an acronym that has most certainly struck fear in the hearts of acquirers and many merchants. That fear is justified for anyone that is not taking the proper steps to adapt to the changes VAMP brings to CNP transactions. We'd suggest that those steps include working with a partner that consolidates more of the overall payments process and solutions delivery through a single platform. The ability to manage any process is always simplified by fewer moving part, which in this case is the CNP tech stack, because that will determine your options to balance your portfolio faster and to secure it over the long term. In terms of a high-level VAMP management overview for the Visa Acquirer Monitoring Program (VAMP), acquirers should systemically track their VAMP ratios, which compare fraud and chargeback reports (TC40, TC15) to total transactions (TC05). Key actions include using strong fraud prevention tools like AVS, CVV, and 3-D Secure, applying chargeback reduction methods such as Rapid Dispute Resolution (RDR) and Compelling Evidence 3.0, and training staff on VAMP rules and dispute prevention.
