Neeraj Tolmare a partagé ceciAlmost 3 years in, with all of us leveraging AI within the enterprise in different ways, why is there still a pause when answering the ROI question. Do we have the right success metrics in place to answer the question. Do we have the right operating model, talent, governance, training and underlying architecture and infrastructure to unlock it's full potential. If every innovation thus far created a capability overhang, why do we feel stumped by the current capability overhang and what can we do to shorten the gap. Neeraj Tolmare a partagé ceciLast week in Atlanta, The Coca-Cola Company had the privilege of hosting the 2025 Global Technology Summit — bringing together leaders from across the Coca-Cola system and our partners to focus on the role of technology, data, and AI in driving growth and transformation. Both days began with inspiring messages from James Quincey and John Murphy. Global Bottler CEO panel led by Henrique Braun with Zoran Bogdanovic, Ian Craig and Arturo Hernandez set the stage for how bold leadership can drive system-wide impact. Jorge Garduño’s Customer & Commercial Leadership panel emphasized the opportunities when we align digital with business outcomes. And perspectives from Satya Nadella, Christian Klein, and Jay Parikh as well as our very own Bruno Pietracci reinforced how technology is creating new growth vectors. Congratulations to Arca Continental, winner of the inaugural Roberto C. Goizueta Cup — an award that celebrates innovation that drives transformation, collaboration that unites our system, and transparency that builds trust. Arca has set an inspiring standard for all of us. Thank you to every speaker, partner, and attendee who made this year’s Summit such a memorable and impactful event. It reflected the strength of our system, and our commitment to ALL IN to WIN TOGETHER. Meghan Heather

Neeraj Tolmare a partagé ceciI enjoyed speaking at the Bloomberg Business Value of AI event about The Coca-Cola Company’s digital transformation and how we’re leveraging AI to create more value for our consumers, customers, and the business. We’ve made significant progress on our multi-year digital transformation journey by modernizing technology, consolidating to fewer, high-quality platforms, and investing in talent and partnerships. These investments have positioned us well to be a pioneer in the generative AI space. Building on the success and insights from our AI experimentation, we’re beginning to scale key pilots globally. From using generative AI to predict which products consumers will want and when, to enabling personalized recommendations for customers, I’m excited to see where this next phase will take us. Neeraj Tolmare a aimé ceciNeeraj Tolmare a aimé ceciThe real unlock in enterprise marketing is a system that truly knows your brand, acts on it inside how your business actually runs, and learns from every campaign to make the next one better. No one has solved this fully… till now. Super excited to share the next generation of Typeface Orchestration Engine : a brand brain that deeply understands your company (Arc Graph), AI agents built around how your teams really work (Arc Fabric), and a closed loop that turns real performance into your next, smarter campaign (Arc Loop). It's the first time these come together as one system — and it points to where this is all going: living experiences that adapt to whoever is on the other side, a human or an AI agent. The best part is seeing it already live inside some of the most complex enterprises in the world. Grateful to our customers who shaped this with us, and to our incredible team. Neeraj Tolmare a aimé ceciNeeraj Tolmare a aimé ceciLast week, an AI researcher said there is a greater than 10% chance AI could kill all humans within the next decade. That sentence is hard to write. It should be even harder to ignore. Evan Hubinger, an alignment researcher at Anthropic, was clear that this is his personal estimate, not a prediction anyone can prove. I do not know whether 10% is the right number. I don't believe anyone does know. But what has happened since matters. Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei has called for slowing the pace of frontier AI development. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman agreed. The conversation is rapidly shifting from whether AI safety concerns are alarmist to whether capability is advancing faster than our ability to understand and control it. Things are moving at a pace we have never experienced before. I have spent much of my career close to technology. I am fundamentally optimistic about what AI can do for medicine, education, creativity and economic growth. I can envision a world where humans don't go extinct but rather we live to be healthy 125+ year olds. I have come to depend on AI everyday. But optimism cannot become abdication. For years, I have believed that the more capable our machines become, the more human our leaders have to become. Today, I am beginning to write about what that actually means. The question can no longer be only: What can AI do? It must also be: What should we allow it to do? Who decides? Who benefits? Who carries the risk? This is where ten deeply human qualities become essential leadership disciplines: Authenticity—so our actions align with our stated values. Bravery—to slow down or set limits when every incentive rewards speed. Curiosity—to test both the hype and the easy dismissal. Diversity of thought—because the more consequential the decision, the more dangerous an echo chamber becomes. Empathy—for the people whose work and lives will change. Humility—to admit how much we still do not understand. Generosity—to ensure the benefits are shared. Transparency—so public commitments about safety match private decisions, and risks are not hidden. Vulnerability—to say “I may be wrong” before events prove it. Resiliency—to adapt, recover and continue leading as the world changes faster than our plans. These are not soft qualities. They are how leaders use power when the stakes are high and the answers are incomplete. Most of us are not AI safety researchers. But whether we lead 20 people or 20,000, we still have agency. We choose what to deploy, which safeguards to require, what tradeoffs to accept and whether people remain at the center. Over the coming weeks, I want to explore each of these qualities through the decisions leaders are facing right now. AI is changing what machines can do. Human qualities must guide what leaders choose to do. What responsibility do you believe leaders have when the opportunity is extraordinary and the consequences may be irreversible? #HumanQualitiesOfLeadership #AILeadership

Neeraj Tolmare a aimé ceciGreat to see this recognition for the amazing Typeface team!Neeraj Tolmare a aimé ceciThis one is for the builders. ✨ We're honored to be named to Fast Company's 2026 Best Workplaces for Innovators, alongside an incredible group of companies pushing what's possible. At Typeface, we set out to solve problems in enterprise marketing that once felt unsolvable. That takes a culture where ambitious ideas are the expectation, not the exception. It shows up in our hackathons and hands-on product days. In ideas that can come from anywhere. And in a team willing to experiment, build, learn and ship. Most importantly, it shows up in the impact we're creating for some of the world's most demanding brands. To our team — from our ambitious interns to tenacious engineers, product innovators, creative magicians, marketing minds and more — thank you for the courage and imagination you bring every day. This belongs to the team that turns impossible into shipped. And we're just getting started. 💛

Neeraj Tolmare a aimé ceciNeeraj Tolmare a aimé ceciEight weeks into a new chapter — and I couldn't be more excited about what lies ahead. 🇯🇵 I'm pleased to share that I joined Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan Inc. as Chief Information Officer earlier this summer, beginning an exciting new chapter in Tokyo. The first eight weeks have been about listening, learning, and getting closer to the business — meeting colleagues across the organization, spending time in the market, and beginning to understand the unique opportunities and challenges in the Japan market. One thing has been reinforced for me: transformation isn't about technology alone. It starts with understanding the business, simplifying how we work, making deliberate choices about where to focus, and empowering teams to execute with speed and excellence. I see tremendous opportunity ahead to use technology, data and AI to create better business outcomes, while building an even stronger, more connected and business-focused technology organization. Three principles will continue to guide me: Flawless execution — turning strategy into measurable outcomes. Simplification — removing complexity so our people can focus on what matters most. Ruthless prioritization — making the choices necessary to concentrate our energy and resources on the initiatives that will have the greatest impact. As I begin this next chapter, I also want to take a moment to say thank you to my colleagues at The Coca-Cola Company. Nearly eight years at TCCC gave me the opportunity to work with some truly exceptional people across functions, businesses and geographies. From Atlanta to working with colleagues around the world, I am grateful for the leaders who trusted and challenged me, the colleagues who supported me, and the teams who taught me so much along the way. I leave that chapter with tremendous appreciation — and with many friendships, experiences and lessons that I will carry forward. And now, I'm excited to build the next chapter here in Japan — learning from a new culture, partnering closely with the business, developing our people, and helping CCBJI realize its ambitions. ここから、新たな一歩。 #Leadership #Transformation #Technology #Data #AI #CIO #CocaColaBottlersJapan #Japan

I analyzed retail AI performance in 2025 and found a gap most people miss: (PS what do you think of retail Vecna?) #Retail has some of the clearest use cases for #AI - discovery, merchandising, pricing, supply chain, labor. At first glance, 2025 looked like the year retailers finally embraced AI: announcements everywhere, press releases, and new tools launching every month. And the numbers followed - During the 2025 holiday season: • AI-driven U.S. e-commerce traffic jumped roughly 758% year over year. • On Cyber Monday alone, AI-referred traffic grew around 670%. • The signal is directional - discovery is moving upstream. But when I stepped back and looked at where AI was actually changing behavior, the story shifted. Retail still trails finance and telecom in overall AI adoption, and that part is well documented. The issue isn’t vision, it’s friction: physical operations are messy, margins are thin, and ROI takes longer to materialize. But behavior doesn’t wait for internal readiness. This is how all of the big players acted in 2025: 𝟭. 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗽𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗜 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 - Walmart rolled out Wally for merchants and Sparky for shoppers, tying internal workflows and consumer-facing help into a broader agent strategy, and even enabling ChatGPT-based checkout flows. - Target embedded AI into merchandise ideation, third-party seller vetting, in-platform shopping, and holiday gifting, making AI part of how assortment gets built and sold. - Amazon expanded agentic tools for sellers and marketers that monitor inventory, analyze demand, optimize shipments, and reshape how shopper intent is captured. 𝟮. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗽𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸𝗼𝘂𝘁 - Etsy and Shopify enabled AI-native checkout paths, allowing shoppers to move from conversational discovery to purchase without ever touching a traditional product page. Intent no longer needed a site visit to convert. 𝟯. 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 - Wayfair let shoppers generate AI-driven interior scenes and buy directly from them. - Stitch Fix introduced visual try-ons that showed real customers what outfits would look like before committing. - Levi Strauss & Co.’s laid the groundwork for a company-wide agentic framework spanning operations, IT, and human workflows. 𝟰. 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲-𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝗜-𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀 - Best Buy used AI for customer support, personalized marketing, and product search. - The Home Depot Depot embedded generative AI across millions of product pages to answer questions and improve search. Across categories and formats, the pattern was consistent: AI moved from being assistive to being agentic - and that is the direction I forecast will take the lead in 2026 🤔 Tell me, what part of the retail workflow do you think humans shouldn’t be doing anymore?

AI integration in the workplace underscores a critical truth: efficiency is not enough without discernment. AI boosts productivity, yet it cannot replicate human discernment, the ability to draw on emotional intelligence, context and a clear sense of what truly matters and in complex environments, professionals rely on discernment to read subtle cues, ask the right questions and navigate interpersonal dynamics with nuances. The most effective leaders blend AI’s analytical power with intuitive judgment, ensuring that technology amplifies human insights: AI enhances productivity, but human discernment remains essential for insightful, high‑stakes decision‑making in organizations. In short, AI can accelerate output, but only human discernment can safeguard decision quality. #leadership #aiintegration #discernment

Retailers have never had less certainty about what's actually on their shelves — and never needed more. RADAR is the RFID based perpetual inventory platform built to close that gap, giving retailers a continuous, real-time view of inventory across every store, without the labor drag of manual cycle counts. Most retail inventory systems tell you what should be there. RADAR tells you what is there — right now, down to the SKU and the fixture. Using a network of connected overhead RFID readers and machine learning, RADAR reads product locations continuously throughout the day, turning the sales floor and back-of-house into a live, searchable map of inventory. No handheld scanning. No periodic cycle counts. No stale data by the time a store associate — or a customer — needs the answer. I am looking forward to introducing RADAR to new European retailers and partners at the NRF Retail's Big Show Europe tomorrow. As a startup we are focusing our efforts on our products not our booth (its pretty green!) but come by Hall 4 - ST-56 in the startup zone and have some candy. You can talk to Jasmine Harris, Spencer Hewett and myself and hear about out 1700 + store rollout so far in North America and what our plans are for Europe. Hats off to all the hard working booth building teams out there. It's a lot of work. #rfid #rainrfid #rfidrocks #rfiddontlie #rfiq #whatisyourrfiq #onlyrfid

National Retail Federation’s Retail AI Trends 2025 is directionally informative; however, like nearly all AI surveys, it highlights future intent and self-reported progress without discussion of critical implementation dynamics. Two considerations: 𝟏) 𝐀𝐈 𝐠𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 Boards oversee AI through risk, controls, and accountability, not individual use cases; however, the gap is that different applications of AI (forecasting models, GenAI assistants, agentic systems) require different evidence, controls, and escalation thresholds under the same governance umbrella. In my Board discussions, that level of differentiation, critical for effective oversight, is still nascent. 𝟐) 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 In a large portion of AI deployments (certainly for the highest priority use cases cited in this report), time spent aggregating, normalizing, and repairing data directly impacts the report's most dominant AI concerns of cost and model performance. This is like worrying about fuel efficiency and engine performance while ignoring the quality of the fuel going in. These surveys offer important industry benchmarking, but the conversation benefits when paired with frontline implementation experience ... a perspective that rounds out today's AI discourse. At World Wide Technology, our AI implementation depth and partnerships with leaders such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft, NVIDIA, Dell Technologies, and Intel Corporation help bridge this gap between industry sentiment and execution reality. #AIImplementation #RetailAI

CCI's framing here is exactly right, and I'd add one thing from the digital side of the house. AI makes FIND easy. CHASE is where the organization gets to win. The signal for a breakout item usually shows up in digital well before the buy has to commit: site search volume, PDP conversion, notify-me requests on a sold-out color, add-to-cart velocity on a size that's already gone. The encouraging part is that most retailers are already sitting on all of it. The head start exists before anyone buys a new tool. The brands that turn that head start into units are the ones who pair it with a standing cadence across digital, merchandising, and planning, with someone in the room who can move inventory dollars that week. Detection plus decision rights is the whole engine.

When two of the most influential CEOs in the world step aside in the middle of the AI transition, the change reaches every leadership role, including yours. Within weeks, Doug McMillon announced his retirement from Walmart and James Quincey his exit as CEO of Coca-Cola. Both run companies deep in an AI build-out, and each concluded that the next stretch belongs to someone else. In my work with leaders, the same concern comes up once the door closes: Am I still the right person for what is coming? It's an honest fear, and even the most accomplished people feel it. The unease runs well past the executive floor, too. Employees share it, and so do young people at the very start of their careers, something research confirms. And it's okay to be concerned, since none of us has lived through change at this speed before. We don't have to stay there, though, as long as we stay humble enough to admit how much there is to learn and bold enough to step toward it instead of away from it. The answer was never about outrunning the machines on their own ground. Technical Fluency has become the baseline. Leaders need enough command of AI and data to ask the right questions and weigh the answers that come back. What truly sets a leader apart, and what keeps them relevant, are the Human Power Skills. These are human-specific capabilities that no machine can replicate. Consider rolling out a system that will change half the jobs on a team. The numbers may make the case, yet what people need from their leader is honesty about the uncertainty and the judgment to lead them through the change rather than around it. That is human work, and it's becoming the rarest currency in business. Relevance isn't fixed by your age or your title. Any one of us who keeps developing these human capabilities can stay relevant, whatever the technology does next, because the next decade will belong to those who master them. As AI takes on more, how are you building and strengthening your Human Power Skills? *********** If you’d like to learn more about the other Human Power Skills and how to develop them, you might be interested in my new book “HUMA: HUman Leadership + MAchine Enhanced.” It’ll be released globally on June 23. Industry Analysts Look for Trends in Gold and Retail Data What a fun conversation at the Atlanta Jewelry Show with Rob Bates, Paul Zimnisky, CFA, David Siminski and Andrea Hill. We covered a lot of ground — gold, the economy, consumer spending, inventory, margins and what retailers should be thinking about as we head into the balance of the year. My message to retailers was pretty simple: Know your customers. Know your numbers. Your data is a gold mine. There will always be things outside of our control. The best retailers stay disciplined, manage their inventory, protect their margins and make decisions based on what their own data is telling them. Great conversation with some very smart industry people! Rob Bates shares the entire discussion in his substack The Jewelry Wire. https://lnkd.in/gHzMW3JC

Every executive talks about strategy, innovation, execution. But focus gets treated like a nice-to-have. BCG studied 740 companies and found firms with clear strategic focus outperformed their diversified competitors across revenue, profitability, and market valuation. I've worked with teams juggling double-digit numbers of parallel initiatives. Cutting that back to one or two and suddenly you get meaningful progress and the team's confidence shifts. Michael Porter said it plainly: "The essence of strategy is choosing what not to do." If you're struggling to help your teams find focus, I've written up what I've learned from teams that got this right. Link in comments.
