A Persistent Stream Key lets you use the same stream key across multiple LinkedIn Live events on your LinkedIn Page. This is helpful if you host weekly events, series streams, or need extra time for pre-testing.
With a Persistent Stream Key, you don’t have to generate a new stream key for each event.
Important to know
Persistent Stream Keys are available for scheduled Live Events only and aren’t supported for spontaneous live streams.
Before you begin

You must be a Content or Super admin of a Page to enable the Persistent Stream Key.

Personal profiles cannot use Persistent Stream Key.

You can only stream one live event at a time using the Persistent Stream Key.
Enable and use your persistent stream key

Go to Live Studio.

Click Prepare to go live next to your event.

Under the Stream settings tab, turn on the Persistent Stream Key toggle.

Click Copy to copy your stream key for use in your streaming software.

Click Go live when you’re ready to live stream. This option is available 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.
Once the Persistent Stream Key is active:

You can reuse the same key for multiple events until you reset it.

Only one live event can use the Persistent Stream Key at a time. If another admin tries to use it for a different event, they’ll see an error.
Here's a tip
If you’re using the Persistent Stream Key for a live stream and need to stream another event at the same time, you can use the standard per-event stream key for the second event.
Reset your persistent stream key
If you need to stop using the current Persistent Stream Key or if you suspect it has been compromised, reach out to our customer support team to generate a new persistent stream key.
