Meet Casey, TEXRail’s 1 millionth ride of 2026! Casey rides TEXRail to his job at DFW Airport, and his trip marked an important milestone for Trinity Metro: for the first time since TEXRail began service, the line has reached 1 million rides in a single year. To celebrate the occasion, Trinity Metro team members, including President and CEO Rich Andreski, welcomed Casey at the platform at Fort Worth Central Station. This milestone represents more than a number. It reflects the thousands of riders who choose TEXRail for work, airport travel and connections across North Texas every day. Thank you to Casey and to every rider who helped make this milestone possible. #TEXRail #TrinityMetro #PublicTransit #FortWorth

Today, Trinity Metro celebrated the launch of La Línea Rosa, a route designed around more than mobility. It was created to reflect the culture, people and neighborhoods it connects. Beginning tomorrow, La Línea Rosa will travel from Fort Worth Central Station through Downtown, the Near Southside and the Hemphill corridor to La Gran Plaza. Its three exterior designs and vibrant interiors celebrate the identity and energy of the communities along the route. Thank you to the many Trinity Metro team members who helped bring this launch to life, and to the community leaders who joined us today, including Mayor Mattie Parker, Councilwoman Jeanette Martinez, Miguel Calera of La Gran Plaza, Megan Henderson of Near Southside, Inc., and Trinity Metro President and CEO Rich Andreski. A special thank you as well to the Mariachi Sol de Texas, Mariachi La Gran Plaza de Fort Worth and Ballet Folklorico Azteca and Joseph Neville and Carolina Imperial for helping make the celebration so memorable. La Línea Rosa is a connection between places, but also between communities. La Línea Rosa begins regular service tomorrow, and we’re excited to see riders experience the route! Let's Ride! 🩷🌹

Today, Trinity Metro celebrated a major step forward for regional transportation with the groundbreaking of the Trinity Railway Express Double-Track Project at Trinity Lakes Station. The project will add 2.4 miles of new double track, helping reduce single-track constraints, improve operational flexibility and reliability, strengthen connections to jobs and opportunity, and add capacity to support future ridership growth across North Texas. Thank you to the leaders who joined us to mark this important milestone: Mayor Mattie Parker, City of Fort Worth Councilmember Deborah Peoples, Fort Worth City Council District 5 Gail Lyssy, Regional Administrator, Region 6, Federal Transit Administration Michael Morris, Director of Transportation, North Central Texas Council of Governments Richard Andreski, President & Chief Executive Officer, Trinity Metro We’re excited to see this investment take shape and continue building a stronger, more connected transit network for North Texas.

On Aug. 6, Trinity Metro Chief Strategy Officer Anette Landeros joined regional leaders for a discussion presented as part of the Fort Worth Report’s Candid Conversations series about what the World Cup meant for Tarrant County beyond the final score. The panel also included Drew Hays, executive director of the Fort Worth Sports Commission and vice president of sports at Visit Fort Worth; Michael E. Nalley, director of hospitality management and professor of practice at The University of Texas at Arlington; and Jennifer Wichmann, deputy city manager for the City of Arlington. The conversation explored how regional collaboration supported the event, which local businesses benefited, how national media attention elevated Fort Worth, and how cities, agencies and partners adapted to changing demands. Landeros also highlighted the lasting impact of Trinity Metro’s investment. Improvements such as increased lighting, enhanced wayfinding and the large video wall at Fort Worth Central Station will continue serving riders long after the games. Trinity Metro’s shuttle service also drew national attention, demonstrating how strategic transit investments can support major events while creating long-term value for the community. The tournament may be over, but the partnerships, lessons and improvements will continue shaping how Tarrant County prepares for future major events.
