In Spring 2025, NTNU in Gjøvik (Norwegian University of Science and Technology) students Jakob Wirén, Aksel Matashev, and Bror Wetlesen Vedeld carried out a bachelor’s project hosted by our Qt Group Oslo office, researching how native push notifications could be integrated into Qt apps cross-platform. The resulting QtPushNotifications library demonstrates receiving remote alerts via APNs and WNS while apps run in the background or are terminated.
