We're honored to continue learning alongside Fast Forward and accesSOS 💚
When your work helps people reach 911, AI isn't the goal. Getting someone help is. This morning, Fast Forward and PagerDuty brought about 45 tech nonprofit teams together with PagerDuty volunteers to move from AI curiosity to everyday practice. Gabriella M. Wong, our founder, joined the AI in Operations panel to share a nonprofit perspective on using AI. We're grateful PagerDuty has been with us from the start. When we first launched, our founder would refresh our app over and over to make sure it was still up. When people use your app to reach 911, you can't miss an outage. Since 2023, PagerDuty has helped us catch problems before our users feel them. In 2025, PagerDuty.org welcomed us into their Impact Cohort with funding, hands-on help, and support for our AI work. Today, AI runs through our work. It helps our small engineering team build, debug, and ship faster, and design and test more options for people in an emergency. When the stakes are higher, we test even more scenarios. In testing, a user said, "I accidentally cut myself with a knife," and AI flagged a weapon. We tightened the language, added guardrails, and reran it until it got it right. And when AI fails, a person is always ready to step in. We're still learning, and today we got to learn alongside so many others doing the same. Thank you Taymar Quezada, Marcus Thompson, Stevenson Jean-Pierre, Everaldo Aguiar, 🛡Garrett R., and Gaby Andrada.
