Start, raise and grow faster with SeedLegals.

About us

SeedLegals is where startups and small businesses get their legal work done and their funding over the line. We handle the documents and admin that slow founders down – from contracts and cap tables to funding rounds and share option schemes. By automating repeatable legal work, SeedLegals helps companies move faster and spend thousands less on traditional lawyers and accountants. For founders starting a company in the US, SeedLegals handles the process of forming a Delaware C-Corp. Founders with an existing US LLC can also convert it into the investor-ready structure typically needed to raise venture capital. For founders raising investment, our funding tools cover everything from one-off SEIS/EIS investments and top-ups to full funding rounds. Founders can prepare documents, manage investors and move their raise forward in one place. SeedLegals also makes it easy for investors to create, sign and store investment documents, manage portfolios, model exit scenarios, get SEIS/EIS tax relief compliance documentation sorted and store everything in one place. SeedLegals operates in the UK, US, France and Ireland, with offices in London, New York and Paris. Key facts: 📈 60,000+ startups, SMEs and investors use SeedLegals 💰 £3 billion+ raised on SeedLegals 🏆 UK's number 1 platform for funding rounds 📊 UK's number 1 platform for cap table management 🎯 UK's number 1 platform for EMI option schemes 🏢 Handles company incorporation and US LLC to C-Corp conversion 👥 130+ employees 🚩 Founded in 2016 📍 Headquartered in London, England SeedLegals was awarded Outstanding Customer Service and Product Excellence by Gartner Digital Markets in 2025.

  • And that’s a wrap on Founder Growth Rooms – what a way to close out the series! Last Friday, we filled the room with founders for our finale, ‘Deck to deal: Get fundraise ready’. We were joined by the fabulous Lauren O’Donnell, founder of Oatsu, who shared her fundraising story, and how she entered the UK market with overnight oats – a treat that’s been popular in the US for a while.  Founder Growth Rooms was born from a simple idea in our marketing team: we wanted to create events that gave our founders direct access to startup-savvy advisors and practical tips and tricks needed to get investment-ready. After this series, we feel our mission has been accomplished (for now, at least – we’ve always got new events in our lineup to look forward to 😉 ). Here are the topics we covered: 💸 Fundraising essentials for startups (with Rob Cossins from Scribe) ❓ How to get SEIS-ready before your September fundraise (with Claudia Martinez and Theo Conru from SeedLegals) 💡 Validating your idea is not customer discovery (with Charles H., from Your Startup Advisor) ✍️ Preparing for investment readiness (with Sean Mullaney from SeaPoint, Will B. from Start Scale & Succeed, and Laura Brentnall from True North Data Governance & Compliance) 💻 Unlocking R&D tax relief for your startup (with Tanisha Shah and Claudia Martinez) 🙅♀️ Startup marketing without a marketing team (with Peter Banerjea from Startup Voyager) 🛣️ Founder journeys (with Matthew Harker and Zara Ransley from MyPocketSkill) 💰 How to prepare for your next raise (with Ollie Hopkins and Edward Popham from SeedLegals)  🔍 Stop losing investors in spreadsheets: fundraise with a CRM (with Anna Gordon from HubSpot For Startups) 👥 How to get your first customers with no budget, no brand and no sales team (with Charles Hope) ↔️ Due diligence goes both ways: choosing investors who’ll actually help (with Charles Hope) 🤝 Deck to deal: get fundraise ready before Q4 (with Lauren O'Donnell from Oatsu) Huge thanks to our SeedLegals events pros Holly Sawyer and Meera Mawkin for pulling off yet another seamless Founder Growth Rooms event – and to CEO Anthony Rose for hosting, and Fin for lending us their swanky head office space ✨ If you missed these events, not to worry – we’re already working on our next series 🧑💻 Make sure you’re signed up to events newsletter so you don’t miss a thing (it’s 100% free!) 👇 https://lnkd.in/er4dsbXd

  • A hundred people saying "love it" doesn't mean you've validated your idea. Compliments, surveys and waitlist sign-ups can feel encouraging. But they’re, not actual evidence of a genuine problem. Instead of pitching your solution, ask potential customers: • Tell me about the last time this happened • What did you do about it? • What did it cost you in time or money? In our latest blog, four-time founder and startup advisor Charles H. explains why you can't validate an idea, only a problem, and how three honest conversations could save you months of building the wrong thing. • Last month, our Marketing Team locked themselves in a room with a whiteboard, snacks, some notebooks… and zero shame about their worst haircuts 🙅♀️. That’s right – the 2-day Marketing Onsite kicked off the only way a real team bonding session can: with fresh marketing initiatives and icebreakers about bad perm jobs and dye disasters.  Because swapping out the screens for notebooks and biros is sometimes what we all need for a strong meeting of minds, we came away with a heap of inspiration. A couple of days of big thinking deserves a proper finish – so we wrapped it all up at Ballie Ballerson, diving into some cheeky post-work beverages and gossip. 🍹 Here’s what we’d love for you to remember: marketing gets made by people. Real ones, with questionable quantities of post-it notes and a prawn posture, tapping away at their desks and trying to communicate to the internet the love our company has for our customers. This post was written by a person. SeedLegals is for every person chasing their startup dreams – and the marketing team (Fairouz D., Kaylee Adinolfi, Kirsty MacSween, Erin D., Emily Tippins, Holly Sawyer, Meera Mawkin, Kaylin Sullivan, Daniel Popa) is here to help share what we build with you.

      +1
  • Your first 10 customers are probably closer than you think. In this video, Emily Tippins Tippens shares one of her biggest takeaways from a recent Founder Growth Rooms session with Charles H.: early-stage founders shouldn’t rush straight into ads or cold outreach 🧊 Start with the people who already know you, trust you and understand what you’re building. Your network could be your most valuable growth channel. Follow SeedLegals for more founder focused insights

  • An investor asks about your option pool, mid-call. Or your co-founder texts "what were the ASA terms with that angel again?" while you're stuck in a taxi. You know the answer exists. Somewhere. In a folder. That you can’t get to right now. SeedLegals MCP fixes that moment. Ask your AI assistant a question about your company and get an accurate answer, pulled straight from your own SeedLegals account. Your documents are now a source of truth you can chat with. Michael Hurley, Co-Founder of MyCloop.com (Cloop), is already running on it: "At Cloop we're building one brain for the whole company: every data source, one unified context in a closed loop. SeedLegals was the first legal platform we could wire straight in, and it's now our source of truth for legal. We send NDAs and ASAs, query the dataroom and pull deal terms without ever opening the dashboard. Legal finally moves at the speed of the rest of the business." Next time someone hits you with a deal-term question on the spot, you won't be scrambling through folders. You'll already have the answer. Make sure you connect your SeedLegals account and try it out. 👉 how it works: https://lnkd.in/eqe--4me

  • An investor saying yes isn't the finish line. It's the start of a relationship that could shape your company for years. Founders spend so much time convincing investors to back them that it's easy to forget that due diligence goes both ways. Before you accept the money, do you know: 🔎 How they support founders when things get difficult? 🔎 Whether their network and expertise can genuinely help you grow? 🔎 If they're likely to provide follow-on funding? 🔎 What other founders say about working with them? Join us for a Founder Growth Rooms practical session with Charles H., a four-time founder who has mentored more than 700 founders, helping them raise over $200M. You'll learn how to research investors, spot the signals that matter and ask the questions most founders are too nervous to ask. If you're raising now or preparing to, don't wait until the term sheet is signed to find out who you're really working with. It's tomorrow, 17 September, online, 16:30-17:30 BST. • Fundraising can feel like learning a new language while trying to convince people to give you money. Priced rounds. Agile funding. Term sheets. Dilution. 😵💫 The real fear isn't the jargon. It's the moment an investor asks how you're structuring the round, and you freeze because nobody's ever explained it to you. We built this guide to stop that moment happening. Inside: → The different ways to fund your startup, and the trade-offs of each → How a priced equity round actually works, and the legal documents it involves → Flexible, agile ways to raise funding as and when you need it Walk into your next investor meeting already knowing the route, not just the words. • A great pitch isn't just about what you say, it's about how you say it, and it's often the difference between "let's talk again" and never hearing back from investors 🎤 Most founders rehearse the slides and forget the room: the pause before a hard question, the moment your voice gives away that you're not sure. On 23 September, 10am-7pm, SeedLegals CEO Anthony Rose and Edge Studio CEO David Goldberg are running a full-day pitch clinic in New York, built around exactly that. You'll sharpen your story, test it out loud, and get direct feedback from real investors, not a mirror. You'll leave knowing how you sound in the room, not just what you plan to say. Limited to just 20 founders. Book your place now: https://luma.com/u1mu38d9
