About us

Smartcat is the enterprise AI platform for global content, built for the speed, scale, and the complexity of today's markets. Smartcat's expert-enabled AI coworkers automate content creation, translation, and localization across every format, language, and team, from documents to websites to software. Orchestrated by our AI Chief of Staff, they help global enterprises adapt faster by catching market signals, updating content, and checking every output for quality and compliance before it ships. AI coworkers continuously learn from feedback, internalizing each organization's brand voice, terminology, and standards, so quality improves over time and repetitive rework disappears. This increases output, while keeping human decision making at the helm. For high-stakes content that demands human judgment, Smartcat connects teams to a marketplace of 500,000+ vetted linguists and editors, coordinated by AI for maximum efficiency. More than 1,000 companies, including 25% of the Fortune 1000, trust Smartcat to accelerate global growth. Recognized by Training Industry as a 2024 Top AI in Training Companies.

Andrew James Viglione leads Global Commercial Learning & Development at Gilead Sciences, and his team was solving for keeping affiliates around the world working from the same content without slowing any of them down. Before Smartcat, the handoff between global and local review ate into the time they could spend building relationships. Every market needed the same material, but getting there meant choosing between speed and local accuracy. Content also needed to be contextualized since what works in one country doesn't always land the same way in another. Andrew's team closed that gap. Translation moved faster, and the marketplace review process let them manage that country-by-country contextualization in one place, so the local expertise that made the content usable in each market never got lost along the way. Less time spent managing the handoff between global and local, more time spent on the relationships. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eu-tc4fK

  • "Nobody has tolerance for AI slop." Claire Foster said it at our first Smartcat Live, and it's the line we keep coming back to internally. Teams in life sciences, manufacturing, and consumer goods are producing more content than ever, and every piece still has to clear compliance in every market. AI can take on the volume, but it can't take on the accountability. That remains with the people who know what a mislabelled safety manual truly costs. When I'm launching a global campaign, I'm not thinking about translation. I'm thinking:  1. Will this resonate with my ICP, both the topic and format  2. Will it hit my business goals (if you've figured out #1, you're likely to achieve this if you have product-market fit)  3. How do I make it land in-region while staying consistent, and capture that work in one source of truth for next time? Smartcat takes care of all of #3, so you can focus on nailing #1 and #2. We're the partner that turns "we decided this" into "the whole world knows it," without losing three weeks, or the meaning, along the way. Because we know speed isn't the hard part. Staying consistent while you move fast is, especially with no tolerance for error, or AI slop. Come see Brittany Clark, Cisco Guzman, and Azat Salikhov run through what we're all about and what's new in tomorrow's launch webinar! We'll even have a special guest appearance from our customer Michelle Quirke from Topcon Positioning Systems!

Access to data is now universal. The real edge is how fast your team turns it into action. At Smartcat, we call that lag the Market Adaptation Gap: the stretch between spotting a change in your market and getting your content and training caught up to match. Jill Busch, Director of L&D at ManpowerGroup, felt this directly. Her team's learning library was built in English, and markets like Quebec couldn't keep pace with how fast the business was moving, slowed down by the delays that came with localization. That's the gap our AI coworkers close. They catch the moment content needs to change and get the right version, in the right language, to the right team, without the weeks-long wait that kills momentum. Busch was recently featured in MSN and Under30CEO, in a piece by Kimberly Zhang that lays out three strategies for building a more adaptive, more competitive organization. Congratulations to Jill for putting those strategies into practice and building a learning org that moves at the speed of her business. Move faster with Smartcat.
