In our Miniclip Portugal Studio, we embraced a very sweet way to celebrate Spain’s success. The kitchen area had a very fitting tribute to our fellow Iberians: Spanish flag cupcakes and, yes, a trophy made of cake. Last Wednesday, our Miniclip Portugal studio brought a Hawaiian twist to its Monthly Gathering with a colourful Hawaiian Evening held right in the kitchen. The space was filled with great food, refreshing drinks and plenty of fun energy, from tropical touches and pineapples to a bright spread that made the gathering feel relaxed, social and very MPT. These monthly moments are a lovely part of studio life. They give teams a chance to step away from the day-to-day, catch up properly and enjoy time together in a way that feels easy and genuine. With Argentina aiming to retain their crown and Spain arriving unbeaten, it is a fitting end to a tournament full of drama, quality and global football energy. As fans around the world turn their attention to the final, we’re taking a moment to celebrate something we’re proud of at Miniclip. Across Miniclip, seven live football titles are developed and operated by talented teams working across multiple studios around the world. That breadth within a single genre speaks to the scale, variety and expertise across our business. Yesterday evening, our Miniclip Italy team in Genoa, headed out after work to explore the city from a different angle. The “Discover Genoa’s Historic Centre” experience brought colleagues together for a guided walking tour through the heart of Genoa, taking in some of the city’s hidden corners while hearing fascinating anecdotes, curiosities, mysteries and local legends along the way. It was a chance to slow down, look a little closer at the place around us and discover stories that are easy to miss in the everyday rush. From historic streets to local tales, the tour gave the group plenty to talk about, and plenty to remember for the final challenge. To wrap up the walk, participants took part in a quiz inspired by the guides’ stories from the evening. Congratulations to the Grifone Group, who claimed first place and the bragging rights that come with it. The evening ended at a traditional sciamadda, a historic Genoese shop, where everyone had the chance to enjoy a selection of typical local specialities. Another brilliant after-work mix of local culture, good food, team energy and a little friendly competition. Needle-felting at Miniclip Derby yesterday: raw wool, careful stabbing and some very cute finished pieces. Led by Regan, a brilliant local crafter found by Liyba Hussain, the workshop gave the team a chance to step away from the day-to-day and try something completely different together. It’s a small snapshot of life at Miniclip: curious people, creative breaks and plenty of room to bring new ideas into the studio. Since launching in October 2022, Let’s Grow This Idea has become a special part of life at our Miniclip studio in Portugal. What started as a wellbeing initiative has grown into a thriving community garden where colleagues relax, connect, learn new gardening skills and enjoy a bit of home grown nature together. The garden now grows everything from lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, peppers and herbs to strawberries, sweet potatoes, watermelon, cucumbers, aubergines and courgettes. Some of the cucumbers and courgettes are still growing to a size no one can fully explain. Game, set and strawberries at Miniclip's MID studio. The team marked Wimbledon morning with a properly British spread, from strawberries and cream to Pimm’s, plenty of flags and a good excuse to step away from desks for a catch-up.
