Midday is joining Ramp We started Midday to build something we wanted for ourselves and it grew into something much bigger than we expected. And here is the story behind it Viktor and I met at Klarna several years ago and soon became best friends. Through the years, we have helped startups and founders build their dreams. But we always had the feeling on our own: what does it take to build something ourselves? What started as a regular phone call talking about life and ideas soon revealed that we have a lot of struggles with running our own business, Viktor with his design studio and me as a consultant. We quickly realized there was nothing built for people actually running the business. You either had outdated bookkeeping tools made for accountants, or complex finance platforms made for CFOs. We wanted something founders could use every day, beautiful, simple, and built for modern founders. Then Midday was born. 2.5 years ago, we shared an early prototype on X. It went viral, and that moment changed everything. It pulled us into the build-in-public community, and from there we started sharing every step of the journey. We’ve worked nonstop alongside our users, stayed bootstrapped, and kept Midday fully open source from day one. We first met Ramp 1.5 years ago over a spontaneous beer here in Stockholm. Since then, we’ve kept an eye on each other. We watched Ramp keep shipping at an incredible pace, with no signs of slowing down. Over time, both Viktor and I kept coming back to the same thought: Ramp was always in the back of our minds. This journey has been life-changing in so many ways. We’re joining Ramp feeling proud, grateful, and excited for what’s next. To our customers, community, and everyone who’s followed along and supported us, thank you. None of this would have been possible without you.
