  • Linea Insights Season 2, Episode 5 "Who else uses gnark?" While Linea is gnark’s most prominent deployment, the library’s adoption extends across the blockchain industry in ways that underscore the maturity and reliability of the technology. In the Layer 2 space, gnark powers not only Linea but also SP1 (Succinct), Pico (Brevis), Lighter, and zkBNB (Binance). Beyond Layer 2s, it is used by Brevis and Lagrange Labs for ZK coprocessor applications, and by Vocdoni for decentralized voting infrastructure. Gnark’s adoption extends beyond Ethereum. Algorand, the blockchain co-founded by Silvio Micali, a co-inventor of zero-knowledge proofs, relies on gnark, as does Worldcoin, the identity project co-founded by Sam Altman.  Binance uses gnark for its proof-of-solvency system, demonstrating trust in the library for financial transparency applications. At the infrastructure layer, gnark-crypto is integrated into Geth and Besu (two major Ethereum execution clients) and powers go-kzg for blob transactions. This means gnark’s cryptographic primitives are involved in securing a significant amount of Ethereum’s daily transactions. Both gnark and gnark-crypto have undergone multiple independent security audits. For institutions evaluating zero-knowledge infrastructure, this combination of production track record, broad adoption and rigorous security review represents a mature technology choice for all. Recursive proof verification is particularly important for Linea’s economics and performance. Rather than submitting individual proofs to Ethereum for verification, Linea uses gnark to aggregate multiple proofs into a single recursive proof. ↓
