There’s a reason that sitting still can keep you stressed. You’ve heard it before that we evolved to be on our feet, and yet spend most of our modern lives sitting. That can cause an accumulation of stress; because stress is not just a feeling, but a physiological response.

Your nervous system is wired to complete a physical response before it can return to rest.
That also means you don't have to necessarily “fix” the thing that stressed you out. You just have to give your body a way through it — whatever that looks like for you, in the moment. The Daytime Stress feature in the Oura App can help you understand where you are in the cycle in real time, and what's actually shifting when you act on it.

Today, Oura is bringing the Menopause Impact Scale (MIS) beyond the Oura App and into the care and health experiences women already use. Through an expanding ecosystem of ten partners across specialty menopause care, primary and integrated women’s health, and hormone and biomarker tracking, new integrations of the MIS will help connect lived experience with longitudinal context for more informed clinical conversations over time. The MIS measures how menopause affects quality of life and daily functioning across 22 symptoms and seven domains. When combined with Oura’s continuous data on sleep, stress, recovery, and metabolic health, it helps create a more complete view of the menopause experience. We’re proud to work with Alloy Health, Gennev, Wisp, Pomelo Care, Maven Clinic, Tia, Xella Health, Oova, Mira, and Hertility as we help make menopause care more consistent, connected, and responsive to each individual’s experience. #WithOura https://lnkd.in/gfMGJcns

Today we launched something we have been working on for a while. The Audicin x Oura Beta testing is open to anyone with an Oura Ring and an iPhone. The core idea is straightforward. Your body is different every day and the audio you use to support your nervous system should reflect that. Audicin now reads trends in your Oura data — HRV, sleep, resting heart rate, stress and recovery — identifies your current nervous system state and recommends the most appropriate journey for that day. Whether that means supporting recovery after a hard week, sharpening focus when your readiness is high, or helping you wind down when the data shows your system is still running. The right neurosound for your physiology. That day. Not a one size fits all approach. We are opening the beta now and would love to get it in front of people who take their recovery and performance data seriously. If that is you or someone in your network, comment YES below or send us a message and we will get you set up. You will need an Oura Ring and an iPhone running iOS 16 or later. Setup takes around 5 minutes. This is one of the things we are most proud of building. Looking forward to hearing what you think.

It’s on your radar. That’s the idea behind our newest campaign, bringing to life a feature already in the Oura App. Health Radar builds on more than a decade of helping people understand what their bodies are telling them. It represents Oura’s next step: helping members notice meaningful changes earlier, and understand how to take action. Health Radar continuously scans cardiovascular and respiratory patterns in the background, surfacing what matters in one clear view. It brings together: 🩸 Blood Pressure Signals: Continuously detects patterns that may signal cardiovascular strain or rising blood pressure, helping members take preventive action. 😴 Nighttime Breathing: A 30-day view of your breathing patterns during sleep that determines how frequently breathing disturbances may be occurring. 🤧 Symptom Radar: Scans for signs of strain and can provide early alerts, sometimes before symptoms of a respiratory illness like cold or flu are even felt. Built in collaboration with more than 40 Oura MDs and PhDs, Health Radar moves Oura beyond tracking toward proactive health support—making personalized health data more understandable, actionable, and connected to next steps when members choose to explore them. This is the first step in building a more proactive approach to health at Oura: helping members understand what may be worth paying attention to, without adding more noise or alarm. Health Radar is available to eligible members with Oura Ring Gen3 and newer generations in the US, UAE, and India. We’re actively exploring expanding this feature to more of our markets this year.  Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gQ-VNdPF

There's been a lot of discussion lately about how well wearables can actually stage sleep. It’s a question I've worked on for more than 10 years, from building a widely used open-source algorithm for automated sleep staging from polysomnography, to leading sleep staging development at Oura, including the algorithm the ring uses today. Several people have already written thoughtfully on this, including Olivia Walch, Blythe Karow, and my colleague Massimiliano de Zambotti, Ph.D. I wanted to add my own perspective in a blog article: "Sleep Staging is Not Guesswork", which I hope will bring some nuance to the debate. https://lnkd.in/eCR7Bqsq
