Last week was the pitch day of our annual Hardware Maker Competition. Even though this was my sixth year taking part, it still felt fresh. Our engineers once again brought many eye-catching ideas. I’ve always believed real innovation isn’t something you can plan. Many of OPPO’s classic products started from an engineer’s sudden spark of inspiration, from the early retractable cameras to today’s advanced telephoto lenses, from VOOC fast charging to the service that is currently helping users move their phone data in OPPO stores. That’s why we hold this competition: so their ideas can be seen, encouraged, and amplified, and so engineers keep their passion for creating and innovating. I'm looking forward to some of the demos pitched showing up in the next generation, or the generation after that, of our products.

Not to brag, but it’s official, the best foldable phone you can buy right now is ours. The OPPO Find N6 has been named Best Phone Design at the 2026 WhistleOut Awards, with OPPO also receiving Highly Commended recognition for Phone Manufacturer of the Year and High Performance Phone. As WhistleOut Managing Editor Alex Choros put it, “The best foldable phone you can buy right now. The creaseless display put it in a class of its own, and OPPO has also narrowed the gap between foldables and non-foldables in areas like battery life and camera performance.” We’ve always believed a foldable shouldn’t ask you to compromise just because it bends. It should look incredible, feel effortless and deliver the flagship experience people expect across design, cameras, battery and performance. A huge congratulations to the OPPO team behind the Find N6, and thank you to WhistleOut for the recognition. The foldable future is looking very smooth.
