5 Apps That Can Help You Live More Sustainably (No Matter Where You Are) Living sustainably can feel like a full-time job sometimes. Between work, errands, and trying to make eco-friendly choices, it’s easy to feel like you’re not doing enough. But there's good news! Your phone can be one of your best sustainability tools. That's right. The same thing that keeps us scrolling endlessly can also help us live lighter on the planet. Here are 5 apps making it easier for people to live sustainably around the world. 1. JouleBug (Global) JouleBug turns eco-friendly habits into a game . With this, you earn points for small wins like reusing bottles, turning off lights, or biking instead of driving. Compete with friends or coworkers and see how your actions stack up. 👉🏿 Available worldwide (iOS & Android) 2. Too Good To Go (Europe, UK, North America) Food waste is one of the biggest environmental challenges today. Too Good To Go connects you to restaurants, bakeries, and stores with surplus food they’d otherwise throw away and all at discounted prices. You save money and help the planet. 👉🏿 Active in over 17 countries, including the UK, France, Germany, the US, and Canada 3. Olio (Global, strong in the UK, Europe & growing across Africa) Think of Olio as a neighborhood sharing app. Got extra food, fruits, or household items? Share them with neighbors instead of tossing them out. It’s social sustainability at its best and a great way to connect with your community. 👉🏿 Available in 60+ countries, including Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, and India 4. Ecosia (Global) Ecosia is a search engine that plants trees every time you browse the internet. Their profits go into reforestation projects in countries like Brazil, Indonesia, and Burkina Faso. So yes, even your random 2 a.m. Google-style searches can help grow forests. 👉🏿 Works anywhere with internet access 5. Think Dirty® (US, Canada, UK, Australia & growing) Ever wondered how eco-friendly your skincare or cleaning products really are? Think Dirty lets you scan product barcodes to see how safe (or toxic) their ingredients are helping you make greener shopping choices. 👉🏿 Database strongest in North America, UK, and Australia Here’s the catch: Sustainability doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. With the right tools, it can become part of your lifestyle through one small, mindful choice at a time. Have you tried any of these apps? Or is there one you swear by in your region? Drop it in the comments. #Sustainability #EcoInnovation #GreenLiving #ClimateAction #WasteReduction #EnvironmentalAwareness #CleanTech #SustainableFuture

  • The spooky season is upon us 🍬 To kick off your Halloween celebration, here are five unique actions you can take to choose sustainable behavior this holiday: 🍫 Limit the candy wrappers: The majority of candy wrappers are made from mixed materials, meaning they cannot be recycled. Instead of filling up on these candies, try an alternative sweet treat like homemade baked goods to limit waste. 👻 Reuse old decor and costumes: Believe it or not, the costume you wore last year is still in great condition. Avoid purchasing single-use clothing items and home decor and reuse last year's Halloween supplies. 🎃 Carve pumpkins with friends: This Halloween tradition is not only fun, but it can be sustainable. Make sure to compost the food scraps and use the seeds for gardening or baking. Check out the resource from Forbes titled, “Five Ways to Have a Sustainable Spooky Season,” for more information on making this year's Halloween the most sustainable one yet.
