Keel Midwest is hiring Painter I and Painter II! In this role, you’ll prepare product surfaces, apply primer and coatings, and perform brush or spray operations to achieve quality finishes. Knowledge of blast profiles is a plus for proper coating adhesion. Our Charleston, SC team was honored to take part in the 25th Anniversary Meal Pack hosted by 9/11 Day. We joined fifty thousand volunteers across the country to help pack eighteen million meals, marking the largest single day meal pack in history for families in need across more than fifty U.S. cities. We are proud of our team members for stepping up with purpose and supporting this important effort.

On #PatriotDay, we pause to honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the courage and resilience that followed. Twenty‑five years later, we’re reminded that the work we do continues to support our nation’s safety and readiness. What we build matters. It mattered then, and it matters now. Today, we remember.

Keel is proud to support the Build Submarines No. 6 car driven by Brad Keselowski, with the Keel logo featured on the RFK Racing car throughout the weekend. This paint scheme is different from the typical Build Submarines design. RFK Racing has partnered with Brad Keselowski’s Checkered Flag Foundation, which is honoring veterans by featuring their names on the car for this race. Keel is looking forward to being part of the Cook Out Southern 500 this Sunday, September 6th at Darlington Raceway. Congratulations to Human Powered Submarine at Virginia Tech for taking 2nd Place at the European International Submarine Races! Major progress is underway at Keel’s Yonges Island, SC shipyard as Building 13 continues to take shape. This new high solids prep and paint facility represents a $22.3M investment and will add approximately 29,000 square feet of dedicated finishing capability. It is purpose built to accommodate the largest assemblies produced by Keel and marks an exciting milestone in our ongoing expansion.
