Artificial Intelligence

The Context Generation Layer of the Web. AI infrastructure that understands every visitor/agent without ID in real time.

About us

Kahoona was founded in 2022 by Gal Rapoport and Alon Ashkenasi - AI, privacy, cybersecurity, and behavioral analytics experts who previously led personalization at Amazon. Every AI or intelligent system, from personalization engines, data platforms, fraud & risk solutions, to conversational AI agents, suffer from the AI cold-start problem. They cannot generate context about the actor, user or agent, before identity exists and depend on it to function. The web was never built with a context layer, and every system built on top of it is unable to understand and act on >96% of the actors on the web. Kahoona is the context generation layer of the web, an AI infrastructure that gives every digital property the ability to understand every visitor or agent before identity exists. It generates decision-ready context, with a privacy-by-design approach (no PII), with a site-native script that reads anonymous actors and their Digital Body Language (Kahoona’s unique HCI data modality) and with site-specific AI models Kahoona serves continuously learnt context both for the enterprise teams and for the end-users. Kahoona is focusing on ‘how’ actors behave rather than ‘what’ they do. Kahoona does not enrich, match, or aggregate existing data. It generates intelligence that did not exist before. The adaptive intelligence is live, persistent and feeds every downstream system that needs to understand, decide and act: It is the input layer that digital stacks were always missing. Winner of the LVMH Award for Best Business Impact, and Kering Innovation Award, Kahoona’s AI Hyper-Personalization is scaling across digital and omnichannel teams within ecommerce brands, CPG & retail, travel & hospitality, financial services & insurance, telecom, and more. Headquartered in New York.

  • Gal Rapoport will be in Huntington Beach, CA at the RetailClub AI Festival to discuss Next Wave AI: Commerce & Customer Experience. Definitely one of the most interesting talks you'll find there! Thursday, Sept 24 @ 2 PM at AI Current. Come hear Kahoona on stage!

I'm excited to be speaking at RetailClub AI Festival next week in Huntington Beach. We'll discuss Next Wave AI: Commerce & Customer Experience - what’s dramatically changing, and where I think retail leaders should be focused next. We will separate the noise from the signal - identifying what's actually working (and what's just buzzwords).  If you're attending, I'd love to connect! We just made our first hire for a role I've never seen on an org chart: 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁. Here's what it means, and why I think you'll be seeing it everywhere within two years. An FDP is a product owner fractionally embedded inside ongoing customer deployments and work - not to make the product work in the customer's environment, but to discover what the product should become from inside it. They sit where the AI models run, where the data actually looks like it looks, where the buyer's promise meets the user's Tuesday. And they carry roadmap authority back with them. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 - 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿? An FDE deploys your product into the customer's reality; an FDP deploys the customer's reality into your product. 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝗗𝗣 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗠? It's about where discovery happens. A classic PM aggregates signal from a distance - interviews, tickets, dashboards - and synthesizes it into a roadmap. An FDP generates signal from inside, catching the gaps no one thinks to report. A PM averages across customers; an FDP goes deep into one and extracts what's universal. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗻𝗼𝘄? Because AI changed where product truth lives. Pre-AI software was finished when it shipped - discovery happened before the build. AI systems are probabilistic and context-specific; their real value surface only becomes visible in production. At Kahoona, every deployment teaches us something no conference-room roadmapping could. 𝗙𝗗𝗘 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗱𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸. 𝗙𝗗𝗣 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗱𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗜 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸. A few weeks back, the first Kahoona FDP joined us - and they won't just do the job, they'll define it and build the function. Watching a role get invented in real time is one of the more interesting things happening in our company. Curious - has anyone else formalized product roles in the field? Or are we early? #ProductManagement #AI #ForwardDeployed

He joins us from Shutterfly, where he led product for personalization and AI-driven platforms at scale, deep in the problems that only surface in production. A hands-on builder who goes deep, cuts the noise, and ships. He won't just do the job. He'll define it. Gal Rapoport broke down why we think Forward Deployed Product will be everywhere within two years. Read it on his profile. Welcome aboard Omri. Yesterday we were on stage at CommerceNext in New York for the Startup Showcase. Standing in front of a room full of people who run commerce at scale, talking about a problem most of them deal with every day, 96% of site visitors are completely invisible to their systems, and what it actually takes to fix that. The reaction was honest. People get it. The cold-start problem is real. Anonymous traffic is the majority. And the tools most teams rely on weren't built for that reality, while lacking the context generation layer. Most teams are trying to personalize, decide, and convert, with a blindfold on. That's the gap Kahoona exists to close. Not with a workaround. With infrastructure that generates context from scratch, from micro-interactions, from the very first page view, on every visitor, including the ones no other system can see. The room was full of people running commerce at real scale. And the questions after the stage weren't about category or concept. They were about results, timelines, and how fast they could get started. That's when you know something has shifted. Still a lot of work to do. But moments like this remind you that the problem is real, the timing is right, and the people who feel this pain every day are ready for a real answer. Grateful to CommerceNext for the platform and to the team for making this one count. Back to work. We're still around at Booth #SU17, stop by and say hello!

Most brands at CommerceNext are betting big on AI. Almost no one is asking what their AI is actually acting on. Clicks. Pageviews. Past purchases. Historical signals from a shopper who's already moved on by the time the session ends. The gap isn't the model. It's the input. What happens before someone identifies themselves. Before they add to cart. Before they even know what they want. That's where Digital Body Language lives, and where Intent-Led Context becomes your MVP! The micro-signals hiding in how someone actually moves through a page - what they pause on, what they skip, what they come back to. That's the context generation layer that Kahoona provides, which today’s stacks are missing. And without it, your AI isn't acting on intelligence. It's guessing. I'll be at CommerceNext in NYC on June 23-24. If you're thinking seriously about how AI should maximize ROI and work in your stack, let's talk @ Kahoona’s Booth #SU17.

Do you remember last years LVMH's Innovation Award Winner for Best Business Prize??? We are back! at VivaTech Hall 7.1 Booth 1H15-002, Kahoona proves a simple truth. Anonymous traffic is not unreadable. Every click, every pause, every return visit reveals intent. What visitors compare. What they ignore. What they revisit. Most brands wait for customers to identify themselves before they start learning. By then, the decision is almost made. Kahoona flips this. We decode intent before identity. Because in luxury and retail, understanding what your audience wants is more powerful than knowing who they are. Join us at VivaTech. See how AI turns anonymous traffic into actionable insight. No guesswork. Just results. You will be greeted by no others than Eitan Smilchensky & Omer Ben Moshe and they have something NEW to share! 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱’𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁-𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁: 𝗞𝗮𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗻𝗮 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗚𝗣𝗧 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝘂𝘁𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺, 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁, 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗜𝗻 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲. Gal Rapoport

Like Omer said, anonymous doesn't mean unreadable. We've spent the last year proving that with more brands, more use cases, and a much deeper understanding of where the market is heading. Back at VivaTech after a year that started with an award from LVMH and continued with another from Kering. The conversation around customer understanding is changing fast. Our team is looking forward to continuing that conversation in Paris

The biggest blind spot in e-commerce isn't anonymous traffic. It's assuming anonymous means unreadable. Every visitor reveals intent. Through what they compare. What they ignore. What they come back to. The problem is that most brands only start learning once the customer identifies themselves. By then, much of the decision has already been made. That's why understanding intent is becoming more important than understanding identity.

  • The AI race just landed another milestone. We saw it coming, and we responded immediately. 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗻𝗮 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗚𝗣𝗧 𝗔𝗱𝘀. We are proud to pioneer and support the shift as the foundation of the new AI driven shopping economy is forming. Kahoona’s highest-intent, high-value, and custom buyers are now available on ChatGPT. They're not browsing. They're asking, deciding, and ready to buy. As intent is formed in AI LLMs, the cost of approaching them peaks, and acting precisely is not a matter of choice. It’s a bare necessity.  𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱’𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁-𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁: 𝗞𝗮𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗻𝗮 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗚𝗣𝗧 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝘂𝘁𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺, 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁, 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗜𝗻 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲. 🚨🚨 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲: 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, Kahoona 𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘄𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁 - 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁-𝗹𝗲𝗱-𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗚𝗣𝗧 𝗔𝗱𝘀. For years, companies have used the same channels to approach clients and drive business. AI changed everything - intent is reforming as LLMs are used by almost everyone. LLMs allow us to decide better and faster, so when we land on a site, we’ve potentially already made up our minds (or at least considered carefully). ChatGPT users are exactly that. Spending less time on site, but converting more. They are very costly, and every miss (approaching the wrong ones) hurts much more than ever before. To sustain, reaching only the right people is a MUST in this new era. Every omnichannel company, brand and agency should be hearing this out! 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱’𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁-𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁: 𝗞𝗮𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗻𝗮 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗚𝗣𝗧 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝘂𝘁𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺, 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁, 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲. Early access is now open.
