Great day in Paris at dotAI (dotConferences – AI, JS & Tech Events) talking about AI for prediction and the impact Fundamental is having on tabular data. If an important decision depends on your data, I'd want a statistician making the call. LLMs are remarkable at language, but ask one to predict churn, demand or risk from a table and things get strange fast. An LTM trained on billions of tables learns something different: the statistical patterns behind what happens next.

In F1, you get very few laps to understand whether you’ve got the car right. So we put NEXUS to work predicting front aero balance before the car even left the garage, using track, weather and car setup data. 𝟭𝟬.𝟯% 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲. spoke at Dreamforce about the data that companies run on: production data, sensor data, maintenance records, CRMs, spreadsheets. it all lives in tables, and it's the data AI has mostly skipped the question we ask every fortune 100 company we meet: what prediction, if you could make it materially more accurate, would change your business?

Can you land a blimp on a rooftop? Sure you can! The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company did it in 1928 on the rooftop of the M. O’Neil Company department store and the skilled blimp pilots at Buoyant Aero (YC S21) did it all week with the brand new Fundamental blimp as they flew over Dreamforce. Huge thank you to our partners Wyatt Cerny, David Murillo, Allen Christensen, and Brendon Kane from Cushman & Wakefield for trusting us and making sure our first rooftop deployment was a huge success.
