Love seeing Flux in action, especially so soon after our announcement yesterday! We're glad our technology provides the results you need to create state-of-the-art AI Assistants
We’ve enabled eager end-of-turn by default for AI Assistants using Deepgram Flux STT. Instead of waiting for full turn confirmation, assistants now start generating responses early and only play them once the turn is finalized. If the transcript changes mid-turn, we fall back automatically. What this means in practice: ➡️~150 ms median latency reduction ➡️ Up to ~350 ms saved in the tail ➡️ Fewer awkward pauses without more interruptions The behavior is on by default and tunable via the eager end-of-turn threshold if you want tighter control.
