We've just opened a Senior Data Scientist role at Alliance (NYC, top percentile compensation, equity and benefits). Data is core to everything we do at Alliance, from reaching the best founders in the world, building the right application experience, admissions and ultimately helping teams reach PMF. While intuition does matter, data reigns. All our key decisions leverage the vast amounts of data we have at our disposal. The candidate will work directly with me and our CTO as well as a high trust team of ex-Meta, WhatsApp, Coinbase and YC folks. It's a fast-paced role where you'll learn everything about early stage startups. You'll follow Alliance founders from ideation phase to growing at scale (many Alliance companies are now unicorns valued at billions of dollars). This can be a life-changing experience for the right person, and will set them up for success as a founder, investor or executive at other high growth startups. If this sounds interesting to you or anyone in your network, apply below or DM me. Bonus points if we already have an existing relationship or have worked together in some capacity. https://lnkd.in/efCR4GcS

  • Congratulations to Oversee Pay (ALL17) on their launch. Oversee is the fastest and cheapest way to receive dollars in Pakistan.

Managing finances across two countries has always been a pain. Pumped to finally share what we've been doing about this! Oversee Pay is building the best way for Pakistanis to manage their finances across two worlds, starting with the fastest and cheapest way to send money home. We have spent the last few months on it as part of the Alliance cohort in New York, and the energy here has been unreal. Having spent time across London, Karachi and Dubai over the last 14 years, I've faced this problem first-hand. First, as a sender. Pakistan is the third largest remittance corridor in the world ($52bn!), yet sending money home meant shuffling between apps for the best rate, then hoping my bank would not freeze my account because I hadn't shown up to the branch in person to redo my biometrics. Then I moved back to build Maqsad and saw the other side. Getting paid from abroad meant inconsistent rates, endless documentation and no financial identity, since banks don't count income earned abroad. Money is now having its internet moment. Stablecoin rails, and regulation catching up around the world (GENIUS Act, MiCA, PVARA), mean money can now cross borders in seconds and be spent straight away. This is a huge unlock for emerging markets, and much better global connectivity over the long run. We've been blown away by the response so far and are onboarding folks as fast as we physically can! If this resonates, sign up. The link is in the first comment.

  • The deadline to apply for Alliance’s ALL18 cohort is tonight at 11:59 PM PT. If you’re building a startup, read on to learn why the best builders choose Alliance ↓ 1. Our Founder Community Alliance has accelerated hundreds of startups and built a network of the most influential builders in the space. Our founders support each other in ways no one else can: they answer questions only a founder can, test each other's products, become each other's first customers, and lifelong friends. 2. Our Mutual Honesty At Alliance, you'll get honesty from us and we expect it from you. "Most investors would rather be politely hypocritical than brutally honest. We don't sugarcoat. If your product needs work, if you're courting VCs instead of talking to users, if you're scaling before product-market fit, if we think you're failing—we'll tell you." — @QwQiao 3. Our Investor Network Alliance invests $500k in every startup we accelerate, then ends each cohort with Demo Day: an exclusive event drawing hundreds of top VCs and angels, including Paradigm, Founders Fund, a16z, Multicoin, Lattice, Dragonfly, and more. We make sure every pitch lands: clear, concise, remarkable. ↓ Apply by midnight Pacific Time at http://alliance.xyz to join the world's most selective accelerator & founder community.

  • Congrats to Prasanna Sankar (ALL11) on the launch of Vorflux. Vorflux is an autonomous software engineer that plans, builds, tests on a real machine, and ships a mergeable PR.

Today we’re launching Vorflux, autopilot for software engineering, with $15M in funding from Y Combinator, Peak XV Partners, Powerset, Alliance and angels like Parker Conrad, Immad Akhund, and Balaji Srinivasan. The models got superhuman at programming this year. OpenAI just shipped GPT-5.6, and Sol is the best I've used. They run for hours on their own now, and they've gotten too strong to live on your machine. But every engineer is still stuck in the loop: prompt, review, course-correct, laptop open all day. That's copilot. You're still flying the plane. Autopilot is the level above: set the destination, it flies the whole route, you supervise by exception. Nobody built it for the cloud, because the cloud you were offered is blind. It writes code on a box it can't run or test, so every branch comes back to your laptop and the loop has you again. That's the circle we broke. Hand Vorflux an idea. It stands up your whole stack on a real machine, backend, frontend, mobile, databases, all live at once, then plans and builds the feature. It runs your tests, clicks through the app in a real browser, has a model from a rival lab tear the work apart, and opens a PR with a video of it working. You review from your phone. Esha Dinne runs Giga. Six engineers, $60M raised. He messaged me for a feature at 2 AM. I gave Vorflux two links. By morning: an 8,000-line production PR, planned, built, tested, proven on video. He slept through all of it. When an idea ships in an afternoon, a backlog stops being a capacity problem and becomes a choice. The bottleneck moves from building to knowing what to build and who to sell it to. If you're still hiring engineers before you've maxed out what tokens can do, you're playing the 2022 game. And we don't tie you to one lab. We train no models ourselves, so we run every frontier model and put the best one on each job. GPT-5.6 leads this week, so bring your Codex plan straight in through our OpenAI partnership. When Claude or Gemini takes the lead next month, nothing in your setup changes. Drop your biggest engineering bottleneck in the comments. I'll reply with how I'd design a harness to kill it, and give you $200 in free credits to run it yourself. Come live in the frontier with me.
