Warren Avenue Bridge Construction - Northbound
by RIDOT
The Warren Avenue Bridge is a vital link to the community and the region, providing direct access for East Bay residents and businesses to the interstate system. The bridge serves those attending private and public schools, visiting Bradley Hospital or other medical buildings along the Parkway, or enjoying parks, golf courses or the East Bay Bike Path.
We plan to replace this bridge using a variety of accelerated bridge construction techniques, including pre-cast concrete components. Like our recently completed Barton Corner Bridge project, we will build two halves of the new bridge offsite and place them into position when ready. We also have significant work to rebuild the entire bridge's substructure, and given the extent of the work and limitations at the project site, we must close the bridge for about a month's time to complete the replacement.
