$GRVT ARK Invest is bringing its ARK Venture Fund onchain through Securitize, giving eligible investors access to a portfolio including OpenAI, Anthropic, Stripe and Databricks. Tokenized ARKVX went live on Ethereum on Sept. 24. This is the first ARK fund onchain. The venture fund carries about $1.3 billion in net assets Tokenizing ARKVX doesn’t put any shares of OpenAI or Anthropic directly on a blockchain. Investors get a blockchain version of their stake in the fund itself. ARKVX is an actively managed closed-end interval fund that invests in private and public technology companies. ARK’s website says it has around $1.3 billion in net assets under management. Securitize oversees onchain issuance and the investor experience. Ethereum is the first, and perhaps other networks will be added later. Buyers pay in USDC, and fund tokens arrive once NAV is set, Securitize said. “ARK has built its business around identifying transformative technologies early and then acting with conviction,” said Carlos Domingo, co-founder and CEO of Securitize. Securitize post on X from September 24, 2026, explaining how ARKVX subscriptions work after the fund went live. Cathie Wood’s firm backed Securitize in October 2025 Securitize plans to publish a daily net asset value for the fund and allow the tokenized interests to trade on blockchain-based markets. ARK’s fund disclosures still confine liquidity to periodic repurchase offers, which may be oversubscribed. “Making the ARK Venture Fund available onchain is a natural extension of our mission to democratize access to technologically enabled disruptive innovation,” said ARK’s founder, CEO and CIO Cathie Wood. The deal builds on ARK’s strategic investment in Securitize in October 2025. $GRVT As the network restarted on Wednesday, Cosmos Hub validators withdrew 1,227,121 ATOM, worth around $2.1 million, from the wallet of the exploiter of Neutron. The chain recorded the move as an event in block 33,086,741 and the owner of the wallet signed nothing. A 168,990-token refund slipped out to Osmosis after the restart Tokens are now sitting at cosmos1z8pq5c, which no key has ever signed for. No one has been named by validators or the Cosmos Hub team as controlling it. The hub was frozen by validators Tuesday at 11:18 UTC, and was unfrozen Wednesday at 12:00 UTC. The Hub team had flagged an upcoming network change the day before, targeted at the ATOM the exploiter had parked on its chain. The team says its own chain was never compromised, and only Neutron assets were affected. At 12:07 UTC, a THORChain vault sent 168,990 ATOM to the wallet from an order that never fully executed. A 500,000-ATOM send to Osmosis followed at 12:09 UTC and bounced, as the wallet held about a third of that. On-chain records indicate that the owner bridged the refunded 168,990 ATOM to the Osmosis address of the same key at 17:54 UTC. Cosmos Hub on X announced the network restart at 12.00 UTC on September 23, 2026. A $20,199 vote bought admin control of 10 Astroport and Drop contracts The money came from Neutron proposal 9, filed Sept. 19 on the expedited track, taking three days and requiring 67% to pass. The proposal claimed to be research into allowing AI agents to run a test network. The payload contained 11 MsgUpdateAdmin messages, each specifying the proposer’s own key as admin. The on-chain data shows that 81.88% voted yes when the tally was run at 02:24 UTC on Sept. 22. Most of those yes votes were bought at the last minute, on-chain analyst Rarma found. One account had voted yes while holding only about 100 NTRN, then spent 20,199 USDC on 31.6 million more and staked them less than 12 minutes before voting ended. The purchase, which was mostly made from Astroport pools that the attacker drained soon after, cost about $0.00064 per token. Rarma estimated the entire bonded stake of Neutron at around $113,000, guarding contracts that held about $9.4 million. Eight of the targeted contracts belonged to Astroport and two to Drop. The attacker swapped in custom code on 10 of the 11 from 02:38 UTC, leaving only the Astroport Treasury, and drained those in 24 minutes. As of Tuesday, Rarma’s number put only about $1.96 million of the take on live chains, with the rest immobilized. Neutron’s last block was at 07:43 UTC on Tuesday and the chain is still halted. According to Cryptopolitan, Cronos validators rolled their chain back following an estimated $75 million exploit at Tectonic in August. $GRVT Bitcoin holders can now test a lending structure that keeps their BTC on Bitcoin while allowing them to borrow USDC on Ethereum. Zest Protocol has launched the mainnet demo of its Bitcoin Collateral Vaults, giving users a live version of the system ahead of a wider production release. The BTC Never Moves To Ethereum The design is built around self-custodial Taproot vaults on Bitcoin. A user deposits native BTC into an individual vault, while a corresponding collateral record is represented on Ethereum. Ethereum smart contracts then handle the USDC borrowing side of the position. The Bitcoin itself is never wrapped into another token and never bridged onto Ethereum. Zest says every permitted destination for the BTC is signed by the depositor when the vault is created, preventing an operator from later redirecting the collateral somewhere else. Once the loan is repaid, the pre-authorized path returns the BTC to the user. If a position falls below its required collateral level, only the portion required for liquidation can move to a registered liquidator. Mainnet Demo Does Not Mean Unlimited Production Use The system is using real Bitcoin and real USDC on mainnet, but Zest is deliberately limiting exposure during the test phase. Each wallet can currently deposit no more than 0.001 BTC. That is a meaningful distinction. The technology is live enough for users to interact with, but the cap is there so the protocol can test the system under controlled conditions before opening it more broadly. Zest says the architecture is also being designed around BitVM verification, which could allow events on the Ethereum lending side to be proven back to Bitcoin with fewer trust assumptions. Bitcoin-backed lending has traditionally required holders to hand coins to a custodian, wrap them or move value through a bridge. Zest is trying to remove those compromises. If the production system works as intended, the result would let native Bitcoin become usable collateral in another blockchain’s lending market without the Bitcoin itself ever leaving its home chain.
