House Coordinates of Germany (HK-DE)
The official HK-DE define the precise spatial position of approximately 23 million municipally assigned addresses nationwide. They enable building-accurate geocoding of address databases and are therefore of central importance for use in a wide variety of industries.
The data source is the real estate cadastre of the Laender and therefore the official register of all land parcels and buildings in Germany. They are continually updated by the cadastre authorities and guarantee users long-term investment security. Furthermore, the HK-DE are supplemented with additional information (e.g. postal code) from Deutsche Post Direkt GmbH.
Contents of the HK-DE:
- Identifier of the data set – nationwide unique ID
- Quality information regarding the location of the coordinates – inside or outside the building geometry
- Key for the Land, administrative district, district/independent city, municipality, location or municipality part, street - structured according to a nationally valid statistic key
- Street name, house number, address supplement
