Work

I am a web developer professionally and as a hobby.

I went to school for business and economics. For my senior year capstone project we ran fictitious businesses in competition with one another. We came in second by slashing wages, environmental spending and cutting quality. We spent the savings on marketing. That's when I decided business probably wasn't for me.

I worked at the local newspaper during college and for a while after (one of the best jobs I've ever had). I worked at a music management company (the worst job I've ever had — even worse than scrubbing toilets at a trophy shop earlier in high school). I've also done stints at all the local ecommerce companies.

Other stuff

I've been hacking on this site for a while and will continue to do so. More about how it's put together here.

I love music (though I don't go to nearly as many concerts as I used to). I treat Metal Archives like it's a genealogy database as I look for new bands.

I read, I watch TV and movies, share links and write. All of that is collected and/or tracked on this site.
