Hieu Nguyen delte detteWhy is FiinGroup investing its time and expertise in the Vietnam Fund Awards 2026? Because, at its core, fund management is a business of information and trust. Vietnam does not lack savings or investment appetite. The larger challenge is building a market in which performance can be compared consistently, risks are understood, and investors have sufficient confidence to commit capital for the long term. VFA 2026 is therefore more than an awards ceremony. It is an opportunity to recognize investment performance while encouraging greater transparency, stronger professional standards and a more diverse fund ecosystem. As co-organizer and technical data partner, FiinGroup contributes its data and analytical capabilities to support a consistent, evidence-based assessment process. This is closely aligned with our mission to Enlighten the Market: narrowing information gaps and turning data into intelligence that supports better decisions. We look forward to engaging with fund managers, institutional investors, distributors, regulators and technology partners on how Vietnam can unlock more professionally managed, long-term capital. 📅 22 September 2026 📍 Pullman Hanoi Hotel, Hanoi #FiinGroup #VietnamFundAwards #VFA2026 #FundManagement #AssetManagement #WealthTech #CapitalMarketsHieu Nguyen delte dette🏆 𝐅𝐈𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐏 – 𝐂𝐎-𝐎𝐑𝐆𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐙𝐄𝐑 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐕𝐈𝐄𝐓𝐍𝐀𝐌 𝐅𝐔𝐍𝐃 𝐀𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐒 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 The fund management industry is playing an increasingly important role in stabilizing capital flows in the stock market, allocating resources more efficiently across the economy, improving the quality and structure of the investor base, deepening the market, and supporting Vietnam’s stock market upgrade process. This is also the rationale behind the theme “The Fund Industry in the New Era: Unlocking Capital Flows for High and Sustainable Growth”, the theme of the Vietnam Fund Awards (VFA) 2026. VFA is jointly organized by the Vietnam Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation (VSDC), Vietnam Investment Review Newspaper (VIR), and FiinGroup, under the auspices of the Ministry of Finance and the State Securities Commission of Vietnam. 🏆 Featuring two award groups across seven categories, VFA 2026 recognizes not only outstanding investment performance among Equity Funds, Bond Funds, and Balanced Funds, but also funds making notable contributions to the development and diversification of Vietnam’s fund industry, including ETFs, ESG Funds, Pension Funds, and Open-ended Funds with outstanding investor-base development. 👉View more: https://lnkd.in/gNhjMEUN Vietnam Fund Awards 2026 Ceremony & Conference “The Fund Industry in the New Era: Unlocking Capital Flows for High and Sustainable Growth.” 📅 22 September 2026 | 13:30 – 17:30 📍 Pullman Hanoi Hotel, Hanoi 👉 Explore the VFA 2026: https://fundaward.vn/ 🌱 FiinGroup – Technical and Data Implementation Partner Supporting the Objectivity and Transparency of Vietnam Fund Awards 2026 As a co-organizer and the organization responsible for the technical and data implementation of VFA 2026, FiinGroup is proud to contribute its data analytics capabilities and in-depth understanding of the financial market, built through years of developing and operating an ecosystem of financial data, credit ratings, and analytical solutions for Vietnam’s capital market. Hieu Nguyen delte detteBank defaults rarely begin with a single dramatic event. They usually emerge from risks that accumulate quietly over time—across liquidity, asset quality, leverage and governance. The real challenge is therefore not simply to assess a bank’s current position, but to distinguish early signals from background noise before vulnerabilities become critical. This new study by FiinRatings draws lessons from 15 Vietnamese banks that defaulted or came close to default, developing an early-warning framework of 11 quantitative and qualitative indicators. One finding is particularly thought-provoking: the least frequently observed warning signs may sometimes carry the strongest predictive value. This reminds us that effective risk assessment requires more than monitoring conventional ratios - it requires judgement, context and the ability to connect signals over time. The framework is not intended to predict default mechanically. Its value lies in strengthening supervisory monitoring, risk management and forward-looking credit assessment. An important contribution to the development of credit intelligence for Vietnam’s banking sector. I invite banking, investment and risk professionals to explore the full study below. #FiinRatings #Banking #CreditRisk #EarlyWarning #CreditIntelligenceHieu Nguyen delte dette🚨 𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐚 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐤'𝐬 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐭 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐤 𝐁𝐞 𝐈𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲? Most bank default events do not occur suddenly. In many cases, these risks accumulate over several years, gradually manifesting through changes in liquidity, asset quality, financial leverage, and governance before evolving into a serious problem. 🏦 To better understand these patterns, FiinRatings conducted the study "Early Warning Indicators of Bank Default Risk in Vietnam: A Credit Rating Perspective." Based on an analysis of 15 cases of Vietnamese banks that defaulted or came close to default, FiinRatings developed an early warning framework comprising 11 indicators and tested it on 12 operating banks to assess its ability to identify risk from a credit rating perspective. Notable findings include: 🔹 Warning signs typically emerge several years before a bank defaults and recur across both quantitative and qualitative dimensions, even though the immediate causes vary from case to case. 🔹 Regulatory capital adequacy ratios may not fully capture the build-up of risk in a timely manner, underscoring the need to incorporate additional complementary indicators into the assessment process. 🔹 A notable paradox is that less common warning indicators may provide stronger predictive value. 🔹 Testing results on 12 banks (2020–2025) show a clear relationship between early warning indicators and credit quality. Banks rated [AA] and above and [A] recorded fewer warning indicators, while banks with lower ratings or Credit Estimates exhibited a higher frequency of warning signals. According to FiinRatings, the framework is intended to support supervisory monitoring, risk management, and credit assessment rather than serve as a standalone basis for concluding that a bank is at risk of default. Its application should be complemented by financial analysis, qualitative factors, and each institution's specific operating context. 📖 Read the full report here: https://lnkd.in/gC7faZzY 🔍 Explore more FiinRatings Market Commentaries: https://lnkd.in/gyanu_qR ----------------------------- Contact FiinRatings today for support: 📧 Email: support@fiinratings.vn 📞 Tel: (84-24) 3562 6962 ------------------- 𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧: https://lnkd.in/gWyS4_iG Thuan Nguyen Quang, FCCA | Hieu Nguyen | Vy H Nguyen | Quan Nguyen | Bang Tam Tran | Hà Anh Nguyễn Thị | Hue Ba, MSc | Hanh Nguyen | Yen Nhung Dao #FiinRatings #Banking #CreditRating #RiskManagement #BankingResearch #EarlyWarning #VietnamBanking #Default

Policies and capital are essential - but international investors also need credible financial products, transparent information, independent assessment and a market infrastructure they can trust. At the Vietnam Green Finance Conference 2026 on 6 August, we will bring together policymakers, financial institutions, investors, businesses and international development partners to discuss a practical question: * How can Vietnam build a green finance ecosystem capable of attracting and deploying global capital at scale? * The discussion will cover the instruments that could lead the next phase of market development - from green and sustainability-linked bonds to transition finance - as well as what Vietnamese enterprises must do to become investment-ready. I look forward to welcoming colleagues who are working on sustainable finance, capital markets, infrastructure investment and the development of the Vietnam International Financial Centre. 📅 Thursday, 6 August 2026 📍 Thu Thiem Riverstage, Ho Chi Minh City 👉 Register here: https://lnkd.in/g8iRhqih Seating is limited, so early registration is encouraged. #VietnamGreenFinance2026 #VIFC #GreenFinance #SustainableFinance #CapitalMarkets #FiinGroup GGGI Viet Nam Juhern Kim, Duy Quang Bui, CFA, Trieu The Ngo, responsAbility Investments AG, Vietnam's International Financial Centre in Ho Chi Minh City Rich McClellan, IFC - International Finance Corporation Paul Xavier E. Vietnam is steadily laying the foundations of its sustainable finance market while advancing key policies for the development of the Vietnam International Financial Centre (VIFC). At the heart of this effort is the development of internationally aligned financial products and market infrastructure designed to better connect global capital with Vietnamese businesses. In 2025, Vietnam recorded five domestic green bond issuances with a total value of VND 3.407 trillion. Notably, 100% of these transactions obtained independent pre-issuance Second-Party Opinions (SPOs) in accordance with international sustainable finance standards, with FiinRatings - A Strategic Partner of S&P Global and S&P Global Ratings providing assessments for four of the five transactions. This signals a shift in Vietnam's green finance market: from expanding in scale to deepening in quality - where access to capital increasingly depends on high-quality data, market transparency and robust independent assessment mechanisms. Experiences from regional financial centres such as GIFT City (India) offer valuable insights for Vietnam in developing a competitive financial ecosystem and attracting international capital. What distinguishes GIFT City is not only the scale of capital it has mobilised, but also its ability to develop policy frameworks, market infrastructure and financial products in parallel - creating the level of confidence international investors require. Mr. Thuan Nguyen Quang, FCCA, Chairman of FiinGroup and FiinRatings, commented: “International investors are looking for more than supportive policies – they seek a mature market ecosystem where capital can be deployed efficiently, underpinned by transparency and sound risk management." These five key questions will shape the discussions at the Vietnam Green Finance Conference 2026: 🔹 Where does Vietnam stand on the Green Finance Map? 🔹 What are International Investors looking for in Vietnam? 🔹 What solutions can connect Policy, Capital, and Enterprises? 🔹 Which Financial Instruments will lead the Green Capital Flow? 🔹 How can Enterprises prepare to access Green Capital? Hieu Nguyen delte detteAI will create meaningful value for financial markets only when it can access trusted, structured and decision-ready data. This is the thinking behind FiinQuantMCP. By enabling AI models to connect directly with Vietnam’s financial market data through the Model Context Protocol, FiinQuantMCP helps shorten the distance from data access to analysis, insight and action. Importantly, FiinQuantMCP is not a standalone initiative. It is one of a broader portfolio of MCPs that FiinGroup is currently developing and plans to introduce to the market, covering different data domains, analytical workflows and use cases. Our ambition is not simply to add AI features to existing products. We are building the data and intelligence infrastructure that allows AI to work reliably across the financial ecosystem. This includes using AI to: • make high-quality financial and business data easier to access and interpret; • automate repetitive research and analytical tasks; • support analysts, investors and financial institutions with faster, more consistent insights; • embed trusted intelligence directly into professional workflows; and • improve the transparency and efficiency of market decision-making. At FiinGroup, we see AI as an enabler of market intelligence, not a replacement for professional judgment. The real value comes from combining reliable data, domain expertise, technology and human oversight. FiinQuantMCP is an important first step - and more MCP-powered solutions are coming soon. 👉 Read the full interview: https://lnkd.in/gPxmHR9c 👉 Learn more about FiinQuantMCP: https://lnkd.in/gtiaAfQC #FiinGroup #FiinQuantMCP #AIReadyData #FinancialIntelligence #MarketInfrastructure #ArtificialIntelligence #FinancialDataHieu Nguyen delte dette💡 KHI DỮ LIỆU TÀI CHÍNH VIỆT NAM HỌC CÁCH "NÓI CHUYỆN" VỚI AI AI đang tái định hình cách ngành tài chính khai thác dữ liệu và ra quyết định.

Hieu Nguyen delte detteMany people still think leasing is simply an alternative financing product. I think it is becoming something much bigger. As Vietnam's economy becomes increasingly digital, green and asset-light, one important question emerges: Can traditional bank lending alone support the next generation of SME growth? Probably not. Many SMEs today don't lack business opportunities. They lack collateral. At the same time, businesses increasingly need access to: • production equipment • logistics assets • renewable energy systems • IT infrastructure • software and digital assets without tying up large amounts of capital. This is why I believe Vietnam's leasing industry is entering a structural transition: from traditional equipment leasing toward a broader asset-finance ecosystem. That shift creates opportunities across much more than licensed financial leasing. It extends to: • Equipment rental • Vehicle leasing • Green asset finance • Technology infrastructure • Future financing of intangible assets For investors, financial institutions, equipment manufacturers and leasing companies, the question is no longer whether the market will grow. The more important questions are: Which segments will grow fastest? Where will competitive advantage emerge? Which business models are likely to create long-term value? Our latest sector report explores these structural shifts and the opportunities they may create across Vietnam's evolving asset-finance landscape. 👉 https://lnkd.in/g4e8jrb7 If your organization is evaluating Vietnam's leasing market, market entry opportunities, acquisition targets, competitive positioning, or growth strategy, I'd be happy to exchange perspectives. #Vietnam #Leasing #AssetFinance #SMEFinance #Investment #MarketResearch #FiinGroupHieu Nguyen delte dette🎇𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐧𝐚𝐦 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 & 𝐑𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔: 𝐔𝐧𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐌𝐄 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐬 & 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐬 Vietnam’s leasing and rental market is entering a new phase of development, supported by rising SME financing demand, growing asset-light business models, green finance adoption, and gradual regulatory expansion. Key highlights: 🔹Vietnam’s financial leasing market remains significantly underpenetrated, with total outstanding leasing loans reaching nearly VND54 trillion in 2025, equivalent to only around 0.3% of systemwide credit. 🔹Leasing is increasingly positioned as an important financing channel for SMEs, especially enterprises facing collateral constraints but requiring vehicles, machinery, production equipment, and other business-critical assets. 🔹The market remains highly fragmented beyond licensed financial leasing, with growth opportunities emerging across industrial equipment rental, vehicle rental, and specialty asset rental segments. 🔹Leading financial leasing companies are broadening their business models beyond traditional leasing, while green leasing is becoming a strategic frontier as enterprises upgrade toward energy-efficient and ESG-compliant assets. 🔹Vietnam’s leasing industry is gradually evolving from traditional hard-asset financing toward broader asset finance, including potential opportunities in IT infrastructure, software, and other intangible assets as the regulatory framework develops. Hieu Nguyen delte detteFor decades, competitive advantage in financial markets came from access to information. Today, information is becoming increasingly abundant. The next competitive advantage may come from decision speed. In the past, analysts spent hours searching for data, exporting spreadsheets, building models, and answering relatively simple questions. AI is beginning to change that workflow. The real opportunity is not simply allowing AI to "see" market data. The opportunity is shortening the distance between: Question → Analysis → Decision. As financial data becomes increasingly machine-readable, analysis is gradually shifting from being query-driven to conversation-driven. This does not eliminate the role of analysts or investors. It changes where they spend their time. Less time gathering information. Less time cleaning data. Less time building repetitive reports. More time forming judgment. More time challenging assumptions. More time making decisions. This is why I am particularly excited about the launch of FiinQuantMCP. Beyond being a new product, it represents an important step toward connecting Vietnam's capital market data with the emerging AI ecosystem through the Model Context Protocol (MCP) standard. The future winners in capital markets may not be those with more data. They may be those with better decision infrastructure. 👉 Learn more about FiinQuantMCP: https://lnkd.in/gJWpfg3E #AI #CapitalMarkets #FinancialIntelligence #DecisionInfrastructure #MCP #FiinGroupHieu Nguyen delte dette🌟 𝐅𝐈𝐈𝐍𝐐𝐔𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐌𝐂𝐏 - 𝐁𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐕𝐈𝐄𝐓𝐍𝐀𝐌’𝐒 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐂𝐊 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐊𝐄𝐓 𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐀 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐈 𝐄𝐑𝐀 In the securities and financial markets, the competitive edge no longer lies only in who has more data, but in who can turn data into faster and more accurate decisions. Hieu Nguyen delte detteA USD 20–30 billion annual financing gap is not just a number - it is a structural and institutional signal. But more fundamentally, it reflects a deeper issue: Vietnam does not lack capital. It faces a trust gap in how capital is intermediated. In emerging markets, liquidity is rarely absent - it is constrained: * by information asymmetry * by inconsistent standards * by uncertainty in how risk is assessed and enforced * and by limited predictability in how policies are interpreted and applied over time These frictions do not eliminate capital. They slow it, redirect it, or keep it on the sidelines. A financing gap is not a funding problem. It is a trust problem in disguise. Liquidity, therefore, is not just a function of supply - it is a function of how smoothly capital can move through the system. Reducing friction is not about loosening control, but about making risk visible, comparable, and understandable. This is where data-enabled trust becomes critical. When information is standardized, connected, and interpreted consistently, risk can be priced with confidence - and capital begins to move: faster, deeper, and more sustainably. Because ultimately, financial systems do not run on data alone. They run on trust - and data is how that trust is built at scale. Hieu Nguyen likte detteHieu Nguyen likte detteVietnam officially joined FTSE Russell's Emerging Market (EM) club yesterday. Everyone's calling it huge. Why? What actually matters for Vietnam: Big global funds don't have opinions or options , they have mandates. Once you're in the EM index, billions in passive money is forced to follow, whether or not the fund manager has ever set foot in Vietnam. Foreign capital will start flowing in automatically . We've seen this before. Saudi Arabia got the same upgrade in 2019. But the money didn't go everywhere equally. It mostly went to the big, well-known, well-run companies — the ones with clean books and easy-to-understand reporting. Smaller or messier companies barely got noticed. So if you run a company in Vietnam, want to get access to this capital - The money wouldn't just show up . • Clean up your financial reporting • Make it easy for foreign investors to actually buy your stock ( In short , list on stock exchanges ) • Be boring and predictable in a good way — investors love that The opportunity is real. But it will favor the companies that have their house in order, have access to capital markets and have risk mitigation outlook in the global world of uncertainity .

Hieu Nguyen likte detteHieu Nguyen likte detteThis morning: UNGA week in New York, sharing ideas on Vietnam’s future with General Secretary and President Tô Lâm and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation. 🇻🇳 A few of us Vietnamese experts in the U.S. were invited to discuss education, technology, healthcare, and finance. I rehearsed so many times my family can now explain capital markets. My pitch was that capital should flow both ways. Vietnamese companies can raise money in global markets, and the Vietnam International Financial Center (VIFC) can bring global investors home. Strong institutions will make it work. The General Secretary said that the knowledge and networks Vietnamese have built overseas deserve a real role in Vietnam’s development. For those of us working abroad with one eye on home, that meant a lot. A true honor. Thank you to the organizers, my fellow participants, and the coffee that got me there on time. ☕ Ready to help. #Vietnam #UNGA81 #VIFC #CapitalMarkets #VietnameseDiaspora Vietnam's International Financial Centre in Ho Chi Minh City 40 Years Of Innovators - 40 Năm Từ Đổi Mới Đến Hôm Nay Du Huynh

FDI DECISIONS ARE INCREASINGLY DRIVEN BY SPEED, INFRASTRUCTURE, AND ECOSYSTEM READINESS. Dong Nai’s approval of nearly USD 550 million in new and expanded FDI projects at the beginning of 2026 reflects how Vietnam is evolving as a fast-moving and investment-friendly manufacturing destination. 📌 The newly approved projects include: 🔹 Jabil Technology Vietnam (Singapore) – nearly USD 80 million ➡️ Manufacturing electronic equipment, data storage devices, and advanced technology products 🔹 Sembcorp Integrated Hub Dong Nai 1 (Singapore) – nearly USD 70 million ➡️ Developing ready-built factories and integrated industrial infrastructure for lease 🔹 HAOHUA Tire Manufacturing Project (China) – capital increase of USD 400 million ➡️ Raising total investment capital to nearly USD 900 million ⭐ One notable highlight is that the capital expansion approval for the HAOHUA project was completed in less than 24 hours, demonstrating Dong Nai’s strong commitment to improving the investment environment and supporting foreign enterprises. 🌏 From a broader market perspective, international manufacturers and investors are increasingly looking beyond traditional cost advantages. Today, access to reliable industrial data, infrastructure transparency, workforce availability, and financial connectivity is becoming critical in site selection decisions. At IIP – Vietnam Industrial Real Estate Portal, we are developing an integrated data and connectivity ecosystem to support investors in researching and selecting manufacturing locations in Vietnam, including: 🌐 IIPVietnam.com – A comprehensive portal for Vietnam’s industrial real estate and investment environment ➡️ Providing market insights, investment opportunities, industrial park projects, and industry development trends 🗺️ IIPMap.com – Industrial park data mapping platform ➡️ Providing information on location, planning, infrastructure, and logistics connectivity to help investors compare and select suitable manufacturing sites 🤖 ChatIIP.com – AI-powered industrial investment assistant ➡️ Supporting real-time inquiries related to industrial parks, investment procedures, factory site selection, and market insights 👥 CVLam.com – Workforce connection platform for manufacturing and industrial sectors ➡️ Supporting companies in recruiting suitable workforce for factories and industrial park operations 💰 FinIIP.com (under development) – Financial connectivity platform for industrial investment ➡️ Aiming to support investors and enterprises in accessing financial solutions and capital sources for manufacturing project implementation 👉 What do you think will become the most decisive factor for FDI investors in Vietnam: cost, speed, or data transparency? #Vietnam #FDI #IndustrialParks #IndustrialRealEstate #Manufacturing #Investment #SupplyChain #IIPVietnam

Ongoing geopolitical fragmentation and supply-chain reconfigurations continue to reshape global trade flows. Within Southeast Asia, Vietnam has been one of the clearer beneficiaries. The country has increasingly functioned as a “connector economy”, facilitating trade flows between the U.S. and China. As corporates diversify production away from China, Vietnam has absorbed some of the manufacturing activity tied to U.S. end-demand while continuing to source intermediate inputs from China.

The question is not whether growth will come. It is whether supply chains are aligned early enough to absorb it smoothly. Are Tier-2 suppliers financially ready to scale? Is S&OP calibrated for faster ramp-ups? Have infrastructure and workforce plans been stress-tested under higher volume scenarios? Vietnam’s growth story remains strong and structural. The competitive edge now lies in disciplined Demand–Supply Alignment — ensuring expansion translates into resilience, not strain. Growth is good. Alignment is better.
