PwC Vietnam supports the development of Vietnam’s International Financial Centre (#VIFC) At the ACCA–VIFC Forums 2026, held in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang on 17 and 18 September 2026, PwC experts joined representatives from regulatory authorities, professional bodies, global financial institutions and the business community to discuss the foundations needed to develop a transparent, trusted and competitive IFC. In HCMC, Ms Luong Thi Anh Tuyet (Tuyet Luong), Partner, Assurance Services and Markets Leader, PwC Vietnam, joined the panel discussion, “Shaping a Transparent and Trustworthy Financial Ecosystem: Global Best Practices.” Ms. Tuyet highlighted that International Financial Reporting Standards (#IFRS) are essential to improving the transparency and comparability of financial information, strengthening confidence among businesses and investors. Additionally, VIFC can accelerate the adoption of IFRS and global practices, helping Vietnamese businesses align more closely with international standards. Ms. Tuyet also joined a working session between VIFC-HCMC and ACCA to discuss areas of collaboration under their Memorandum of Understanding, with a focus on professional capacity building, high-quality talent development, training and professional qualifications, and expert network connectivity to support Ho Chi Minh City’s international financial ecosystem. In Da Nang, Mr Samir Safar-Aly, Director, Head of FinTech and Financial Services, PwC Legal Middle East, joined the panel discussion, “From Institutions to Capital Flows: Governance and Legal Frameworks for Attracting International Investors to VIFC-Da Nang.” He shared perspectives on key considerations for attracting international investors, the role of governance and legal frameworks in strengthening the competitiveness of the VIFC, and policy priorities that could support its long-term development. On 22 September, PwC Vietnam participated in the 4th Solar & Energy Storage Future Vietnam 2026 (ENERGY BOX VIETNAM) in Ho Chi Minh City. The event brought together industry leaders, policymakers, investors, and technology innovators to explore the opportunities and challenges shaping Vietnam's energy transition. 🌟 The AI Learning & Sharing Programme, part of the “New World, New Skills” global initiative, has officially concluded with positive results! In August, 12 PwC Vietnam volunteers delivered online learning sessions for teachers across Dong Nai province, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to use AI more confidently and effectively in their work. From practical applications and effective prompting to understanding AI’s limitations and risks, the programme equipped teachers to use the technology safely and responsibly. 📌 Result highlights: 12 primary and secondary schools participated 371 teachers gained practical AI knowledge and skills 48% felt more confident using AI in their daily work Our sincere thanks to the Defense-Economic Unit 778 for connecting us with the participating schools, as well as to the school leaders and teachers for their enthusiastic participation throughout the programme.
