Tim West reposted thisTim West reposted thisPrivate credit has entered a new phase. Not because growth is slowing, but because scrutiny is rising. The market continues to scale at pace, reaching an estimated US$2.3 trillion in 2025, with projections to exceed US$4 trillion by 2030. As it becomes more interconnected with banks, insurers and retail investors, the questions facing firms and regulators are changing too. A few questions spring to mind: How transparent is the market? How resilient are liquidity structures? And how do firms scale responsibly? There is a significant opportunity ahead for private credit. But long-term growth will depend on trust, governance and transparency keeping pace with innovation. Our latest EY Global Regulatory Network paper explores the issues shaping the regulatory agenda globally, and the practical actions firms should be considering now. #PrivateCredit #FinancialServices #Regulation #RiskManagement #PrivateMarkets #AssetManagement Michael Gibson Danielle Grennan Nina Emordi

Tim West shared thisEarlier this year I sat down with Eric Adler, CEO of L&G Asset Management, to discuss some of the big themes in Private Markets, and how L&G is forging ahead in this field - organically, via acquisitions and via partnerships. And how the asset management industry continually reinvents and reinvests, to stay ahead of its clients' needs. https://lnkd.in/euN8Q4Tk

Tim West shared thisIf you were at Fund Forum this year, and a week later are reflecting on the big themes covered - we would welcome a conversation on how these challenges and opportunities can be addressed. And if you were not able to attend, and would like a download on these 'big bets' for our industry - please do get in touch. As a collective, we all play an important role in delivering on financial futures - it takes a village, and what better village than the Wealth & Asset Management community that was alive and thriving at Fund Forum!Tim West shared thisA week since FundForum 2026 in Monaco, which was both energising and rewarding. From the exclusive Leaders Boardroom led by Omar Ali CBE to sessions on the Leaders Stage led by Hermin Hologan, CFA and Dan Hall, and bespoke debate and discussions to a packed room led by Alex Birkin and Tilly Chen Hoyle, EY shaped many pivotal conversations throughout the two days. Jun Li opened the event as Chair and set the stage, and Lisa Kealy as Chair kept the dynamism going throughout. To say I was excited to join them as Chair is an understatement! Now that the dust has settled, a few observations from the many client conversations and sessions at FundForum this year: - Winner's edge in wealth and asset management is increasingly coming from service and operational alpha - not investment performance alone. - AI, tokenisation and new settlement infrastructures are rebuilding the plumbing and rewiring the talent dynamics of the industry entirely, not just it's products. - Having a strong ecosystem of partners matters - increasingly so. Plugging in best-in-class capabilities and having access to the right distribution channels via the right partners can be more effective than size and scale. - Finally (and the simplest observation of them all) leading firms are always focusing on the key problems they want to solve for clients, and not the products they want to sell. Tim West reposted thisTim West reposted thisNo one should be forced into homelessness. Successive governments have failed to build enough social homes or make sure our support systems protect us from all forms of homelessness. Because of this, 300,000 families and individuals in England are experiencing the worst forms of homelessness right now. That’s more than the number of people who had tickets to watch England play in the group stages of the World Cup. But it doesn’t have to be this way. By; 👉building more social homes, 👉fixing the welfare system, 👉and ensuring proper support systems are in place, homelessness can be ended for good.

Tim West liked thisTim West liked thisWhat a wonderful week - full of connection, celebration and recognition of hard work across our #financialservices industry. Thank you to our fantastic clients, with whom we collaborate each day. I also had an opportunity to connect with women colleagues across #financialregulation in private practice - more to come on that in due course. Finally, a huge congratulations to Alderman Prem Goyal CBE for his Shrieval journey - an honour to be part of it, what a fantastic recognition of your hard work and contribution alongside celebrating a real act of inclusion by the City of London Corporation.

Tim West reacted on thisTim West reacted on thisAlong with the Lady Mayor Dame Susan Langley, and City of London Corporation, I am very much looking forward to welcoming Torsten Bell, Pensions Minister, to the Mansion House on Thursday 1 October 2026 for: Connecting Capital: Workplace Pensions and UK Growth - A Mansion House Capital Agenda Conference The conference will bring together all parts of the UK workplace pensions value-chain, from Employers, their pension advisers and EBCs, allocators including pension providers and their Trustees and IGC Chairs, and finally the asset managers and others operating in deployment of workplace pension assets. It is a great opportunity for all parts of the UK pensions system to come together with some great speakers and panels, to discuss and debate how the system is currently operating and driving the investment of UK workplace assets, and discuss progress against the Mansion House Compact and Accord. We still have a very small amount of capacity - so if you operate in the UK workplace pensions value chain, as a Reward & Benefits Manager or Pensions Manager at an employer, or within the DC workplace pension sector, either as an advisor to employers or trustees, or within a provider - then please private message me to see if we still have capacity.

Tim West liked thisTim West liked thisHispanic Heritage Month always gets me thinking about family, the values we pass down and the paths the next generation chooses to make their own. As a father, few things make me prouder than watching my children discover what they love and have the courage to pursue it. Recently in Zurich, I had one of those special moments. My daughter Francesca’s first feature-length film as an actress, Midnight Momo, had its world premiere at the Tibet Film Festival. I’ve been proud to see the momentum she’s building. Her three short films are also making their way through the festival circuit: Manic Memoirs has been selected by five festivals, Sisters by Santa Barbara and Seattle, and Mi Hija will soon screen at the New York Shorts International Film Festival. And Midnight Momo begins its own journey, from its world premiere in Zurich to its North American premiere at the Vancouver International Film Festival in October. What makes me proudest, though, is everything behind those milestones: the auditions, rejection, long days and uncertainty, and the persistence to keep going. Congratulations, Francesca Gamba!

Tim West liked thisTim West liked thisIt became clear again across my travels in Europe the last two weeks that regardless of what country I'm in, the Evergreen structure and it's merit...or not, dominates discussion. Whether the flavor is Interval or ELTIF, LTAF or BDC, the category is capturing a disproportionate share of fundraising, attention, and criticism across the world. Today, CAIA Association drops a new seminal report outlining the lessons of recent history, the flawed naming conventions of "semi-liquid," and a playbook for the whole value chain for improving communication and education. Kudos to my colleague Georgina Tzanetos for leading the charge on the project. Read it here: https://lnkd.in/e-xqe4b8

Tim West liked thisTennis is the best sport in the world—and earlier this week, members of our Alternatives team at J.P. Morgan Asset Management and J.P. Morgan Private Bank had a chance to unwind, compete, and, most importantly, have fun in the best way I know: on a tennis court. Such a fun night with the team and my partner, Anton Pil. Tennis is about reducing unforced errors, not hitting the most winners. A lot like what we all do every day. Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a great event. Special thanks to Eli Litwin, Dorianna Marambio, and Lysandre Bouvard, CFA for organizing. Looking forward to running it back in the spring.

What a productive end to 2025 for the Aberdeen Economic Infrastructure team! As we celebrated ten years since our first investment, our inaugural asset, Auris Energia , reached a significant milestone in its journey towards the energy transition. By partnering with Fazer, Auris will be providing mission‑critical energy solutions to support one of their production facilities in Finland—a major step forward in operational performance and long‑term sustainable growth. In December, we brought together the CEOs of our portfolio companies, senior advisers, and impressive panel of subject‑matter experts to discuss operational preparedness and resilience in today’s challenging geopolitical environment. As infrastructure investing centres on delivering essential services to local communities while aiming to generate relatively stable returns for investors, the discussion was especially timely. It also enabled a productive exchange of best practices and highlighted several opportunities for further enhancements across the portfolio. I invite you to read our Q4 2025 update in the link below for more detail on these and other developments.

According to the latest @Art-Basel and @UBS Survey of Global Collecting by Arts Economics, high net worth art collectors in the UK are making bold moves in 2025. Those surveyed remain actively engaged in the art market and are optimistic about the future, with younger generations and women driving momentum across key markets. In the UK, collectors are exhibiting distinct behaviours, with female respondents having spent on average twice as much as their male counterparts on artworks so far this year. A further 42% of UK collectors plan to purchase art in the year ahead, and confidence among collectors remains high. To learn more, visit: https://from.ubs/6049shugB #shareUBS #UBSArt #ArtBasel
