I still remember a payments expert at an accelerator five years ago telling us Ryft couldn't be done. It was pretty crushing. Sadra , Richard and I were convinced we could build something different in payments, but the people who knew the industry far better than us told us we were wrong. We decided to take the risk. Our first partner went live in November 2021, It felt enormous at the time. Now we serve thousands of businesses across the UK and Europe. But the journey from that first customer to where we are today wasn’t straightforward. There were plenty of moments along the way where the easier option would have been to stop, slow down, or take the safer route.
