Somewhere today, a graduate with a real qualification got another rejection email. Most people will call that their problem. I don't. Someone paid for that training. A family, a government, sometimes both. A university built the course, examiners checked the standard, and all of that effort is now sitting in a queue, waiting for one door to open. And while it waits, everyone loses something. The employer with a vacancy they can't fill. The investor still short of people who can run what they funded. The country that trained an engineer and gets nothing back yet.

On 19 June 2026, I attended the 'Global Higher Education Systems Forum: How Do We Expand Access, Quality and Outcomes Globally?' 🌍 As someone who has experienced higher education as a student, the discussion resonated with me. Many challenges raised, including access to opportunities, funding pressures, skills development, and student outcomes, continue to shape the experiences of learners worldwide. Hearing perspectives from different countries and sectors was insightful, and exploring how greater collaboration between universities, governments, industry leaders, investors, and non-profits can help create more accessible, inclusive, and future-ready education systems was enlightening 💡.
