  • 🇬🇧 A product kids actually ask their parents for. Not exactly the usual reaction to financial services. 👀 That was one of the things that convinced Roxanne Varza to back Money Walkie early on. Since then, the company has grown significantly: 300,000+ customers, strong recurring revenue growth and now 600+ investors joining the journey on Crowdcube. A great example of a French FinTech rethinking how young people discover money and learn to manage it. 🇫🇷 Money Walkie’s campaign is open on Crowdcube until 30 September. Don’t invest unless you’re prepared to lose all the money you invest. This is a high-risk investment and you are unlikely to be protected if something goes wrong. Take 2 minutes to learn more: bit.ly/3u8ZTH0 🇫🇷 Un produit que les enfants réclament à leurs parents.

💬 “I noticed that kids were actually begging their parents for Money Walkie.” She was one of our early supporters, investing alongside us through Sequoia. 💬 “I noticed that kids were actually begging their parents for Money Walkie.” That line captures our ambition perfectly: building a financial product young people genuinely choose and that helps them become more independent with money. Since then: → 300,000+ customers → +144% paying users → +332% recurring revenue in 24 months → 600+ investors have already joined the round 👉 Our campaign is open until September 30 at 11:59 PM. Companies are staying private longer, meaning employees are holding equity they can't realise. So how do you reward the people who built the success? Next Thursday, 1 October at Sifted Summit, Crowdcube Co-CEO, Matt Cooper, will host a hands-on workshop alongside Charlie Walker, Deputy CEO, London Stock Exchange. This discussion will explore the story behind employee liquidity, allowing attendees to hear from the team behind recent transactions on the London Stock Exchange's Private Securities Market (PSM), including Wayve and Moneybox, which generated over £100m in value. Both Crowdcube and London Stock Exchange are partnering with the fifth Sifted Summit, bringing practical expertise on making transactions work at scale, along with providing the infrastructure which makes liquidity transparent and accessible for growing companies. Congratulations to the team at Veremark, who’ve today announced a £6m + employee secondary transaction on London Stock Exchange 's Private Securities Market. You can read about it in today’s Times (link in comments). We’re delighted to say that once again Crowdcube will be managing both the buy and sell sides of the deal, helping realise liquidity for the individuals who helped build Veremark, while bringing new investors onto the cap table. In a first for employee secondaries on the PSM, an allocation of the shares will be sold to qualified retail investors on the Crowdcube platform. This is something we are especially excited about as it creates a new pathway for investors to access this part of the private market usually reserved only for institutional players. Veremark is one of Financial Times' fastest-growing companies in Europe in 2026. It is a high-growth tech-enabled business facilitating global workplace trust - its offerings of pre-employment screening and background checks as well as whistleblowing software grew 241% in H1 this year - and its PSM transaction follows in the footsteps of Wayve and Moneybox, realising liquidity in a transparent and tax-efficient way using the PISCES framework and Crowdcube and LSE infrastructure. Our co-CEO Matt Cooper said:  ‘Crowdcube has become the go-to agent for employee share transactions on the London Stock Exchange’s Private Securities Market, with Veremark taking the value of recent deals we’ve managed to over £110 million.’ Equity will be available to qualified retail investors on Crowdcube.com from today (September 22nd), and the auction takes place on October 7. A pleasure working with Veremark’s Daniel Callaghan, Ivan Pedretti, Ryan Kelly, Manfen C. and Azhar Khan and our colleagues at LSE, Abigail Maneka Vethakan, Tom Simmons, Aarondeep Singh and Neil Shah,  and as always a shout out to the brilliant Crowdcube team for making this all possible. #secondaries #employeeliquidity #privatemarkets

  • Ever wondered what a VC fund looks for when it comes to an investment? Next Tuesday (September 22) at 14h BST, we’re partnering with two funds on a webinar where they’ll be sharing what they’re looking for when considering that 1st cheque. In ‘First Cheque, Where The UK Wins’, Chris Tottman, Founding General Partner of Notion Capital will be joined by Scott Weavers-Wright OBE and Jonathan Keeling, Founding Partner and Partner respectively Haatch, who: -see around 3000 companies a year -invest in around 2% -have had 5 profitable exits in the last 18 months, and… -have been backed with £62m of capital by the British Business Bank. With Haatch’s latest SEIS fund currently raising on Crowdcube, it felt like a good time to partner on the webinar and learn about what makes a great start-up. Registration link in comments. Look forward to seeing you there! Risk Warning: Don’t invest unless you’re prepared to lose all the money you invest. • Following on from our partnership with London Stock Exchange (LSE) on the recent Wayve and Moneybox 's employee secondary transactions on the Private Securities Market (PSM), we're taking the employee liquidity story to this year's Future Fifty Forum, powered by Founders Forum Group. If you're a founder, CFO or Chief People Officer at the event and have wondered about: -the benefits to a private company of realising employee liquidity -how to do it -what the experience is actually like.... Our co-CEO Matt Cooper will be joined by LSE's Deputy CEO Charlie Walker and Ben Miller-Bridgland, Legal Director at Moneybox to discuss all of this, showing how using the PSM to provide employee liquidity is part of a recruitment and retention plan supporting the growth ambitions of the best private companies. If you're at the event on September 16, Matt, Charlie and Ben will be on stage at 11 35. If you'd like to connect with Matt, or our other co-CEO Bill Simmons who's also at the event, you can contact them on here or via the event app Hopefully see you there! #FutureFifty #EmployeeLiquidity #Secondaries

  • The PISCES and PSM story continues to spread far and wide - we were delighted to take part last week in an event hosted by Deloitte which looked at the practicalities of using the London Stock Exchange 's (LSE) Private Securities Market to realise liquidity. As well our co-CEO Matt Cooper, the event featured stories from individuals who have pioneered what is a UK success story - Dom Holland from the FCA, the driving force behind PISCES regulation, our LSE partners Tom Simmons and Marcus Stuttard , Mark Austin CBE from Latham & Watkins, closely involved in the regulation and Wayve’s Claire Jackson, fresh from their $85m PSM transaction. With the best private companies staying private for longer, realising employee liquidity and supporting recruitment and retention is key, and the PSM is a tax-efficient, transparent and repeatable way to realise it. We'll be out-and-about telling the story over the next month, of which more later…and in the meantime, a huge thankyou to Deloitte, Simon Olsen, Tom Barkel and Joshua Lewis for continuing the conversation.

  • Recent transactions like Wayve‘s on the Private Securities Market - the London Stock Exchange’s market providing liquidity to investors and employees through secondary equity transactions in later-stage high growth private businesses - have driven an influx of interest from founders, CFOs and Chief People Officers, interested in the role the PSM can play in the growth lifecycle of a private company. Per Simon Olsen’s post, If you’d like to learn more, our co-CEO Matt Cooper is joining a number of key figures from the first PSM transactions - including Simon -  at a Deloitte event next Thursday September 3, where they’ll be talking through the practicalities of the PSM, sharing their learnings and answering your questions.
