This is the amazing new sensory garden at Queens Park, which was formally opened by the Mayor of Bolton yesterday.🌳🪏 Making it has been a labour of love for the fabulous Friends of Queens Park and we love how their enthusiasm and ambition for the park are making a genuine difference. Alongside their hard work and that of our Greenspace team, we’re funding improvements like renovating the fountain and upgrading the play area, so that together we keep the park flourishing.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of David Chadwick, Deputy Mayor of Bolton, who dedicated so much of his life to serving the people and communities of our borough. David held many roles over the years, including Mayor of Bolton in 2025/26, and was known for his dedication, warmth and good humour. Our thoughts are with his wife Valerie, his children Matthew and Victoria, and his grandchildren at this difficult time. The Town Hall flag will fly at half-mast as a mark of respect. 💙
