About this video

Video transcript

With company targeting, you can reach people who work at the specific companies you want to prioritize.

Using data you already have.

One way to target companies is through our third party integration with LinkedIn Marketing Partners.

The other is through uploading a company list, which will be the focus of this video.

First, download LinkedIn's company list template.

The template ensures your list meets LinkedIn's formatting requirements.

The template can be downloaded from the Marketing Solutions Help site.

It can also be found in Campaign Manager, when you go to create a matched audience.

For best results, aim to include at least 1,000 companies in your list.

Larger list typically match better.

While we don't require every single field to be provided, it's best practice to add as much company information as possible.

This includes company name, website, email domain, or LinkedIn page URL.

Including more fields may improve your list match rate.

Be sure to double check spelling and remove extra formatting like quotes or symbols.

Clean data leads to stronger matches.

Once your list is ready, head back to Campaign Manager to create a new matched audience.

Name your audience.

Select company list and upload your CSV file.

Keep in mind company lists can take up to 48 hours to process before they're ready to use.

After your list is processed and the status is ready, it's available to apply to a new or existing campaign to reach the right people within each company.

Narrow your audience with LinkedIn's professional targeting, like job function or seniority, to focus on the right buying group.

You can also use company lists as exclusions to avoid reaching specific companies, such as existing customers or competitors.

And that's it!

By uploading a company list, you can use your own data to focus your campaigns on priority accounts and reach the right people within them.
