Took a #jalanjalan through the blooms of hydrangea at Gardens by the Bay’s Blue Beauties over the weekend. Hydrangeas symbolise gratitude, understanding, and unity. Their tightly clustered florets collectively form the beautiful inflorescence. The display runs till 21 June. Admission is free for children during this school break. Do bring your kids if you can! go.gov.sg/dcqrnu

Enjoyed a #jalanjalan at i Light Singapore during its opening weekend. This year’s theme, “Movement”, is reflected across the artworks on display. #iLightSingapore runs daily until 28th June, from 7.30pm to 10.30pm. Bring your loved ones and enjoy the sights and activities around Marina Bay and Raffles Place as the area comes alive at night! go.gov.sg/kjgm44

This evening, Muslims in Singapore welcome the start of the new Islamic (Hijri) year, 1448. The new year begins with the month of Muharram, one of the holiest months in the Islamic calendar — a time for prayer, reflection, and renewal of one's commitment to doing better in the year ahead. Wishing all our Muslim friends a blessed Islamic New Year! go.gov.sg/hl7ew7

Wishing everyone a peaceful and healthy Dragon Boat Festival! Glad that many continue the tradition of making rice dumplings. Some follow closely guarded family recipes while others try versions with a new twist. Each dumpling is wrapped with care, for family and friends to enjoy together. Observing traditions and passing them on keeps our heritage alive and our identity strong. 祝大家端午节安康!go.gov.sg/w59emr

Congratulations to The Purple Symphony for two successful nights at your annual concert. Had a good time at the first performance! It is inspiring to see many musicians of diverse abilities coming together with passion to showcase their talents. Thank you for championing diversity and inclusion, and enabling musicians of all abilities to enrich their lives and ours through music. go.gov.sg/j7z2za

Happy Father’s Day to all fathers and fathers-to-be! Fathers should be pillars of strength, providing a sense of security and guiding us through life with wisdom and courage. We remember our fathers, grandfathers and the fatherly figures in our lives, especially today, for their countless sacrifices and unwavering love. Thank you papas! go.gov.sg/2wsmyv

I’ll be on leave till 28 June. Looking forward to using this short break to do what my younger team members call “touch grass” — a playful term meaning stepping away from screens, and enjoying time outdoors! 🌱

Logging off for now 🙂 go.gov.sg/a910su

Sharing a picture I took of last month’s Flower Moon 🌕 The moon is not only beautiful, but also holds great significance across many cultures. If the skies are clear tomorrow evening, you should be able to catch the Strawberry Moon after sunset. The name comes from North American Indigenous traditions, marking the time when strawberries ripen and are ready to be harvested. go.gov.sg/x13wbm

The mid-year school holidays have ended, and the new term begins today. To students, keep stretching your minds and growing, not just in your studies, but as a person. To teachers, thank you for your dedication every day. And to parents, I hope the past few weeks gave you precious time together with your family. Have a good first day back! 😊 go.gov.sg/jn9k56

Happy SAF Day! Today, we recognise the contributions of our servicemen and women to our nation’s defence. For nearly 61 years, Singapore has enjoyed peace and security. Whenever Singapore has needed the SAF, it has been there, ready to serve and ready to deliver. A big thank you to our uniformed personnel, the many civilian staff working behind the scenes and their families for keeping the SAF capable, ready and reliable. #HormatSAF go.gov.sg/tegta8

The first week of Term 3 is almost over, and the weekend is approaching. Hope students, parents and teachers are back in stride after the June holidays.

I did manage to “touch grass” during my leave. 🙂 Sharing a photo of one little moment in nature that caught my eye — a reminder to appreciate the beauty around us, even in simple things. go.gov.sg/p2jqxh

Took a #jalanjalan around National Gallery Singapore with the youngest member of my team! 😎

I hope our young people will make time to pursue your hobbies and passions. I am sure you will find things that hold your interest, just as I picked up photography and found it interesting and fun. Wishing our youths and the young-at-heart a Happy Youth Day!

Sharing some photos that I took during a #jalanjalan around National Gallery Singapore last week. Was glad to see visitors of all ages enjoying the Gallery.

At its official opening in 2015, I said that the space should not just be for art aficionados, but for everyone. Since then, the National Gallery team has worked hard to make this vision a reality. It is encouraging to see art becoming more accessible to the wider community – a people's museum. go.gov.sg/842xuj

Visited the Singapore Garden Festival before it ends tomorrow.

The Festival attracts horticulturists, garden designers and florists from around the world, alongside Singapore’s own talented professionals, to showcase creativity and craftsmanship. The floral displays and garden creations were truly impressive. They remind us of what is possible when diverse talents come together to create something remarkable.

Do visit if you can. go.gov.sg/gf3kx

Deeply saddened by the passing of Mr Chua Mia Tee, one of Singapore’s foremost visual historians and 2015 Cultural Medallion recipient. Singapore has lost one of its cultural luminaries — a visionary who not only produced great art, but actively documented our national journey through his lenses. His works helped strengthen and shape our shared identity. Mia Tee’s extraordinary legacy will forever be etched in our nation’s history. go.gov.sg/l9bz3

Had a good dinner with our Teck Ghee grassroots leaders and volunteers at the community bonding and appreciation night yesterday. Congratulations to the 100+ recipients of the Long Service Awards, recognising 5 to 45 years of service. Thank you for your dedication and commitment. Together, we will continue building on the strong foundation we have laid over the years, and make Teck Ghee an even better home for us all. go.gov.sg/0lomfz

Arrived in Brunei! It has been over two years since my last visit. Singapore and Brunei share a special friendship built on decades of mutual trust, close cooperation and strong people-to-people ties. Looking forward to meeting His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, other members of the Royal Family, and Brunei Ministers over the next few days. go.gov.sg/8lg6sr
